wow that is fantastic, that latency is killer! vantage runs perhaps?
i see you have figured out some settings on the board now, good job!
that 4k with queue of 1 was random or sequential?

    Thumbs up

    Great results!

Can you put up a comparison wit desktop x58 etc bord(s) too?

Then it is easy to us to see the differences

ok everything was in sequential speeds. today i do some random test. tomorrow im leaving for Berlin for 5-6 days. maybe i will find some goodies to buy from there :P
im not using Vantage for only one resson. the board keeps 2GB or ram unseen for caching... i cant find the right setting for not using it. the results that i get from Vantage is with RAM so u can imagin how big they r
just for the record the results in vantage only in HDD suite is like 90-110k ... unrealistic and no reasson to be proud or post them. for me the only program that it doesnt use Cache memory and that is for real is IOmeter.
ive tried to disable everything in bios but in vantage the scores are the same.Just for an example for what i mean is in windows vista start up i get 1121 MB/s... that is not possible right?

I suspected LSI onboard would produce nice low latencies. Thanks for sharing your results.

Gotta love the wide open lane bandwidth on that 7025 too.

For our next trick, how bout LSI 2008 on board with a stack of those C300's when they hit... !!!

Thanks again for posting these results.

    Nice!

Can you upload a picture with higher resolution? It is hard to read all results

    Any more benches?

Is there any chance to compare this with a x58 desktop board to see the differences on the latency? IOP differences

You got a IOP a monster there

Is this wit 8x intel ssd?

The cache on the controller is the difference. So what we want is monster cache with "no" latency like you're LSI

Controllers with cache must have some advantages to defend the higher price?

the thing is that S7025 use some amount of RAM for Cache for the controller... if i enable it i get 96k score in vantage... but this is not reallistic... just think that it use 2GB DDR 3 1333Mhz for caching.... im not going to public that result
for the reason that is NOT realistic... imagine that the motherboard has superfech and prefech settings on BIOS...for Hard accelaration of DB and FS... when i enable all those settings the controller lags... and that lag is like 0,20 -0,35 ms
and is way way to much...

ALL the RESULTS that i post here is with CACHE DISABLE on BIOS.
Pure results of the new firmware of 9211

well with these types of latencies you can see that the old rules of latency with SAS/SATA devices has changed. lots of people have said in the past that sas/sata together leads to poor latency. this explains why areca and others are all making sas/sata devices with the 6gb/s controllers, and not sata only.
