    yeah 950 on 1.30 in no case 1 out of 500 times you get a clean run come on let it go. i said i was not going in detail if you want to pm me i will send ss and some other info if you were close you could come by and see for yourself then you will undrstand better

    i know what category you fall under also.... salesman
    with the pee on the 295 comment your no better then what you decribed.

    i spend 1250 usd to find out about the card you spend nothing then berate buyers and get others to join in ....what does that make you?
    think about it

    you know after thinking about the giga card is broke too if it wont run stock clocks on stock volts so make that 2 for 2 i never said i had two broke cards till now so....i calll them like i see them.
    i dont have to kiss anyones as5 and find good things to say about it so they still send me stuff.
    again i repeat i still like the cards i dont want refunds but just 100% working cards if they dont clock one bit over 725 so be it but to plug it in and work like it should is just fine by me.
    but if that happened and i called them crappy clockers i would be right about the cards that i would have not all just the ones i have in hand.
    i dont know why your on a witchhunt but w/e

    Your just going back and forth on those "cloks, doesn't lock, it is DOA, it is not doa, it need volts for stock, it does 950MHz GPu, etc, etc, etc". Anyway, it's your goodies, you bought them, you have a bad opinion about them, and that is that.

    And I am just a salesman Funny thing though, you just confirmed that to me that I am fair. When I tested GTX 295, all the ATI fanboys were like "boo, you Nvidiot, GTX 295 sucks, the power consumption this, the overling that, the price etc". Now, when I test HD 5970, the Nvidia fanboys go like "boo, you salesman, it sucks, it can't clock, the power consumption this, the heat that, etc". I am very fkin kappy man, it must mean I am doing a great job, thank you for that! I am just going to tell you what I use to tell the fanATIcs back in the GTX 295 days - this is the best VGA out there, weather you like it or not. And yeah, it pees on GTX 295. But guess what, if GT300 will wipe it's a** with HD 5970, I'll be the first to say it, for sure

    Great review of 5970 CFX: http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews....d=890&pageid=1
    In regards to running 5970's in Crossfire x, the word 'overkill' immediately springs to mind - there really is absolutely no need for it right now, unless you need to play Crysis Warhead at Enthusiast settings on your 30 inch screen at the native resolution. This is the first time we have seen this title running like butter and it shows just how poorly put together the game was when it was released. Sure, its pretty, but it shouldn't need a dual 5970 configuration to run well with the eye candy maxed, even at 2560x1600.
    And they suggested a new 'revision' to the card:
    I7 920 On Air! -->
    I7 920 @ DICE -->
    3770K @ DICE -->

    I don't either, it was for the sake of testing my cooler if it could handle the testing reviewers have tried on the 5970, nothing more.

    now at stock clocks its not bad at all,dont mind the added volts this card wont run stable at stock volts
    like for playing games are you really going to need to add volts and clock with this card.

    Looks like you are running FM in Windowed mode. I also see VDDC temps above 120°C in one of your screenshots.

    Manicdan, didn't you know this card is primarily being purchased to run Furmark and some other even more obscure programs.

    thats the point though

    you don't need or want 1025 clocks unless your benching in which case... it does throttle

    you don't need 10 extra fps when you already have 100 + even at 2560 by 1600

    What do ppl bench with? Games and 3d mark? I haven't heard of it throttling during those 2 scenarios.

    I didn't know ppl benched competitively with Furmark and some program I have never heard of that Anandtech mentions.

    Some ppl have just drank a lil too much Hatorade imo
