Success with stock voltage - Prime95 blend (4 tests) stable
0922MPMW - ramrodcar - MA790X-UD4P - F5c - Success
Success here!
0922APMW running on a Gigabyte MA770T-UD3P (F2c BIOS).
OC'd to 3.6ghz with the stock CPU fan, no problem, but it ran a little hot (CPU maxxed out at around 64C during Prime95). Switched to a Core Contact Freezer, and it will now clock up to 3.8ghz stable, although I keep it clocked down at 3.5ghz. CPU idles between 31-33C, and never goes above 60C during Prime95 or OCCT.
Man, I'm loving this new system--runs Windows 7 Ultimate like a dream.
I'm hitting a wall with my overclocking. Can't get 3.8 to stabilize with up to 1.500V on Vcore, 1.450V CPU NB. Haven't really manipulated ACC yet since the computer crashes when using P95. Used to just have a core or two quit, which would make it easier to figure out which cores are causing issues.
Using PhII 550BE (unlocked to quad) and GA-MA790X-UD4P. Anyone got any insight on this one?ty chip maybe?
0925APMW on AsRock AOD790GX bios 1.0-1.5 Fail.

yes that is not 100% successalthough I recall I did success in unlocking 2 disabled core fully working but not yet tested for stability/benchmark. here's the screenshot.
but I forgot to remember which bios I used, and also forgot to remember bios settings.
as for downcore option, I dont see any bios setting which pointed at 'downcore' on MSI 770-C45
thread starter:any updates ?
there are already newer batches available...i called some of my stores in my country, they are getting week 29 amd phenom 2 x2550BE ones

0925APMW - Gigabyte GA-MA770T-UD3P - F2 - Success
About 5 hours test in Prime95 without any errors
Still no signs of later batch?
Im still having an issue with my 550,
I get errors with my memory at DDR2-1066 at 5-8-8-28 which is slower than what its able according to OCZ.
In BIOS (790x-ud4p):
CPU VID: +0.025
NB VID: +0.1
NB Core: +0.025
I would like to get my memory stable at 1066 so i can work on getting my CPU and NB rounded out.

Just got a new combo,
0922MPMW - RussC - ASUS M4N78 PRO - 1004 - Success
Success with caveot, with 4 cores enabled, will lock up always. Disabled one core with msconfig and 3 cores work fine. Ran prime95 for 7hrs overclocked to 3.5GHz and FSB 210, Memory 1:2 to 420MHz. Sill testing to see how far it will go. I also added a fan to the chipset IC, the nVidia MCP78S(GeForce 8200). This set is one IC for the whole motherboard. May give some more headroom for overcloaking. The IC gets very hot in normal running. I wonder why ASUS didn't put a fan on it.
This CPU was a good part on air(Zalman 9700) with 2 cores and was able to do a few benchs @ 4.0GHz before crash with no voltage uppers(super PI-1M @ 17.3s). So far this part doesn't seem to like alot of voltage. Ill post some pics later.
