i think wheels would completely detract from the style of the case, i can't think of any way you could make them look as good as the current feet.
they will probably be thrown in the box as an accessory. just as cooler master does.

Agreed, my armor weighed about the same.

This case is heavy, I'm not going to lie.

It's not heavy enough that the gravity it generates attracts smaller cases that orbit it like moons or something, but it's fairly heavy. I don't know the actual weight. If you're looking for a LAN party case, this isn't it.

Good news everybody - the SATA hot-swap drive caddies are now compatible with SSD drives natively with no need for an adapter.

The videos floating around online had said late June/Early July. Perhaps it's just about time to start seeing them? I'm perfectly OK with a delay here or there if it means better quality and attention to detail. It looks like Corsair has dotted all it's i's and crossed the t's on this one. Can't wait to get myself one

Redbeard, think you can get one mailed to me on the house?

Haha, one day I'm going to surprise somebody and just pick some forums guy and PM him for his address and ship him some hardware provided he posts pics and tells everyone how awesome I am. I am not above trying to buy your love and respect.

Seriously though - availability is delayed like I mentioned earlier because we're enlarging the CPU backplate cutout. It works fine for most 775 boards but in order for it to be compatible with 1366 and 1156, we're going to have to make it bigger. The new cutout will be like half the size of the motherboard tray almost and will even accommodate unique boards like the eVGA classified with its custom socket placement.

Retooling that cost us a bit of time and money, so officially we're still saying "Quarter 3". I'd say, though, that it cost us about a month of time assuming everything goes well.

This is a lot of fun for me - I've been at Corsair 5 years, started working in the lab as the guy who swapped out Samsung TCCD memory modules trying to find the fast ones so we could make 275 MHz DDR1. Now I'm a Product Manager and I'm taking your guys' feedback and trying to make this thing as good as I can make it for you guys.

I know I can't make all you guys happy - some people want full aluminum, others want glowing LED lights, others want a mini-tower or an ITX case.

But this is Corsair's first case and coming in with a cheap, "me too" case that's an off-the-shelf product with our logo slapped on it just doesn't seem right.

And I'm all about criticism - so what you like, what you don't like - I read it all and it goes into my head when I try to create the next products on my list. As long as you guys stay polite, I'm willing to hear that my product is exactly the opposite of what you want.

    Again:
Availability - delayed, officially Q309, looking very promising.

Simultaneous availability in North America, Europe, and Asia.

Thanks for your info once again!
The case looks great IMO. Obviously its looks won't suit tastes of every single person, but it seems like most people are positively impressed (yeah, me as well ).
Hope you can sort all backplate issues ASAP though, some people seem to be losing patience [and sanity] cause of waiting.

    nice job on the caddies!

you guys really are going well above and beyond to make sure every aspect of this case has had a ridiculous amount of thought put into it.

can't wait to have it sitting on my desk

Good news about native SSD mounting RedBeard!

While you are re-tooling, why not come up with an optical drive bay cover similar to what Lian Li uses? ...please!?

And then a fanless top panel (maybe sold separately).

    Great job so far!!

Well, for a start into the market you guys are going to come in with a bang. I saw this and now I'm holding off on by a TJ-07. That case has been done to death and I want something new and still great quality. The fact that you're going the extra mile to make sure it's all you want it to be before shipping and then just coming out with another model with the fixes is wonderful. I know I'll be getting on when it comes out for a build I've been holding off on.

As far as the extra's: I would love to see drive covers and top panels but there are plenty of modders in the community that can do that too.

@Redbeard, the one you send out to someone should have a picture of your little lego pirate just under the corsair logo. Just so you know it's yours

Yeah, and it increases price, too, while not many people are going to use this.

I really like how the case is coming along; special kudos on the SSD friendly disc caddies. Is there any word on whether/when a non window version or replacement panel will be available? I would also second the optional lian-li style optical bezels but it doesn't sound like that will happen. Good work Corsair, I look forward to buying one once you decide to let me.

    @Redbeard.

I'd like to say that this case appears to be the least in need of modification out of the factory I have ever seen. Congratulations on helping bring this baby to market. Of course, I have one question.

The front and rear feet. How are they attached to the bottom/base of the case? From the picture below it appears as if the weight of the case is forcing an opening at the outer edge of each side. Any thoughts on this. The pic below was taken from the vid on the Corsair Support Forums.

I'll check that on the production samples, thanks for the heads up. I don't think I've seen that before, but it doesn't hurt to check for it.
