    I have a 2 questions
    • Wich is better kit? Teamgroup Xtreem 1200 or Teamgroup Xtreem Superoverclocking Dual spec? What chips are used (xtreem 1200 ->d9gkx) (superoc ->d9????) ?
    • Wich is vdimm for daily use without fan? [my ram is life-warrant with 1200MHz 5-5-5-15 2.35v-2.45v]

    d9gkx needs volts
if you want to run withought a fan get good d9gmh that dont need more than 2.05 to run 1200
you can do 1100 1.9v withought a fan as long as there is some air circulating
but even then i'd put a low noise fan

One of my GKX died and I had a memory cooler right on it, latterly I was running only 2.1v through it so D9 is fragile stuff.

Got old double sided crucial tracers 8500 clocks around 600 5-5-5-15 on something between 2.0 - 2.1v but only with fan, without fan they doesn't want to work without errors. Is this normal?

So what you suggest to do? Remove heatspreaders and replace thermaltape?

Anyway they are doing factory settings without problems, just overclocking makes them really really hot.

I finally got my Cellshock 1150 sticks today. I haven't really pushed them, I just wanted to see how much voltage they needed for 600MHz C5 on the 2:3 divider. Looks like they require about 2.12v.

Nice result Shiranui Gen-An, are they getting hot on such voltage/speed?

My GKX kits only need 1.97v for 600 MHz stable with quite tight timings, which is 0.05v less than your Crucial GMH. They also do 650 MHz stable with 2.26v (Max II Formula) and 2.24v (P5Q-D).

Mind sharing your settings for those clocks Cryptik? Specifically DRAM settings (drive strength, skew model, etc).

EDIT - think I made a mistake there (changed it now) - pretty sure the clock crossing & common clock settings were set to nominal or auto rather than aggressive. I cant be sure exactly I had only been playing with the board for about 3 hours and I didn't write anything down.

I really should put the DK X48 back in PC #2 and pair it with the E8400 and take out the UT P35. I have a bunch of GKX kits I want to push.

So you guys bought a X48-T2RSB Plus... I've been looking at them for quite a while now, very tempting to get them, just for playing with 4GB.

Did you make tests how much 4GB-clocking improved over your old board?

Don't think this particular kit will go any higher without getting into the downright dangerous vdimm on aircooling range. This board does clock ram pretty well, better than both my P45's. I have never tried clocking 4GB of ram on this board so I can't comment about that.

Vdimm used was? Please post an Everest screen, bandwidth should be pretty good at those settings.

4GB is the only reason for me to get this board, as it should be better than P45 boards by quite a big margin. Try it!

How hot is your memory guys at ~2.2v? Mine is getting in middle 50* what does make me think that something is wrong.

Have double sided ballistix tracers 1066 2x1 and and any ocing without additional fan is impossible due to memories getting way to hot.
