I hope dualbrain wouldn't mind me posting this...

    1. perfection in every corner, nothing hidden, no compromise (cable ties, etc. )
    2. a harmonical design throughout the system
    3. a color theme that is very appealing
    4. a little invention / idea, that has potential to change future computer-looks / designs
    5. nothing that exists already at the same level of quality
    6. photography that will still appeal to people looking at the MDPCs in 10-20 years from now (if someone has points 1-5 hit ... then I take care to help him)

Usually people fail on "no-compromise in any corner".

But it's like that: The path of building with trying to get onto MDPC is the real thing where you grow.

But I have to admit: Hardware power and cost is not important at all - its just about design. Sure a packed system is great, but still harder to make perfect. But if people do - they are close to MDPC. Hardware power is not listed there in a specs-list, because in 5-10 years the power will be as stunning to people as a pocket-calculator is to us today. Design will be forever and that's why MDPC documents the influences and turning-points in history

I like how he thinks hardware can go out of date but style can't and I have yet to see a single harmonica

MDPC generally seems to require disconnecting as much as you can get away with and really expensive photography equipment. Photoshop skills also a must.

I am confused by this - None of my pics were ever photoshopped and Nils has a pretty strict policy about seeing straight files from the camera so I dont think anyone else has photoshopped theirs either
