    i7 safe temp ?

    Whats highest safe temp when running 95prime cpu test (top one) ??

    cores will throttle back off at 100c, I wouldnt want to be over mid 80s on air 24.7

    Was thinking the heat would impare your stability before it damages the processor but obviously that is not the case LOL!

    Hehe no, I had a bad waterblock mount due to a design overlook in the mounting kit for 1336 and the fuzion v1...I primed for 5 hours before realizing the cpu was at 105c...

    No errors though :P

    Haha, that is THE highest temps that I've need read on a cpu that was still alive.

    Dam that temp is crazy Well I was priming on my current rig and it got to 76C under load....guess thats safe but not gonna push any more till get the cpu on 120.3

    110C on hot summer days on Linkpack...
    I'm not sure what the consensus on safe in terms of physically not damaging the chip, but paranoia starts to kick in for me at 70C.

    65C is the max I'd run an i7 at..

    Relevance is simple. Same TJMax and same paranoid peoples about CPU temps.
    It was a sort of joke (smilie at the end) and after that screenshot I said what I consider safe 24/7.
    If it ain't broke... fix it until it is.
