EVGA X58 Classified @ Single GTX 295 Stock cooling

This classified is special version which is non-nf200 version. I just make sure this mobo overclock well before I test VGAs under LN2.

This mobo can go more colder than any mobos,so my cpu can go a little bit higher than ASUS and DFI.

    MB: EVGA Classified non-nf200 Version
    CPU: Retail Core i7 965
    Ram: Adata 2133X 2GBX3
VGA: ASUS GTX295 flash to EVGA bios 740/1621/1250

    06 Test

    05 Test

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=4787566

    AM3 Test

I know this mobo overclock is the same as nf200 classified and will test VGAs under LN2 soon.

I dont know if this been asked before, but I would like to know if the Nf200 has any impact when it comes to overclock (cpu)?

Thanks for the pics andre, just for curiosity, why are you running those nice A DATA Rams without their heatsink?

    no any impact

I remove memory heatsink because these ICs are too hot.

nf200 version lose some performance when you run GTX 295 Quad SLI because too many nf200s on it,but triple sli performance is ok.

I dislkike the NF200 chip but if I had to ablity to buy one without it or have the ablity to disable the chip I'd jump on it in a heartbeat!

Core 2 Duo(Conroe) was based on the Intel Core Duo(Yonah) which was based on the Pentium M(Banias) which was based on the Pentium III(Coppermine).

Core 2 Duo is a Pentium III on meth.

This is the one people will want. That's a sick CPU benching at 5GHz + for 06.

I found the same under cold, bootup under cold at least 10-~15 degrees lower than all other boards + you can pretty much bench LN2 all day without the board bugging out.

non-nf200 may be better for air cooled over clockers

That is a hell of a CPU clock you got there m8 , and surely beats out lots of ES CPUs

Wow, that's the one I am looking forward to! Great job.
Will it feature the same cooling solution for NB and PWM or is it something else? I am asking cause in your setup pic it's something else, more conventional.

Having a real good retail chip makes this board more fun as I learned it month and half ago
Good Luck for full LN2 run

Nice to see that there will be a classified board offered without NF-200. I'm interested to see the difference in performance and possibly cost.

    Good stuff Andre!

I receive non-heatsink classified. I use my own heatsink on it. I have no idea about retail classified heatsink.

    Red face

Ok so which one of the two would you recommend and why? Because Im going to be buying a Classified but now I dont know which one is better. I have a 295 but Im just going to use one, when 300 series come out Ill be going SLI then. Which of the two motherboards would give me better preformance? Thanks.
