    Foxconn Bloodrage and Memory

    I have been asking including trying to contact Saaya( no luck) about using these memory kits on the Bloodrage..but still haven't gotten a satisfactory answer.

    Lets lay them out on the table:

    So far on the list...
    CellShock DDR3-1800 8-7-6-21 2GB Dual Channel Kit ( CS3222580 )
    SuperTalent DDR3-1866 C8 2GB Dual Channel Kit ( W1866UX2G8 )
    CSX Diablo DDR3-2000 2GB Dual Channel Kit ( DIABLO3-2000-2GB-KIT )
    A-Data Vitesta Extreme Edition DDR3-1333+ 3GB Triple Channel Kit ( AD31333E001GMU )
    Corsair Dominator DDR3-1800 C7 2GB Dual Channel Kit ( TWIN3X2048-1800C7DF )
    Corsair Dominator DDR3-1600 6GB Triple Channel Kit ( TR3X3G1600C8D )
    SuperTalent DDR3-1600 C7 2GB Dual Channel Kit ( W1600UX2G7 )
    G.Skill DDR3-1600 6GB Triple Channel Kit ( F3-12800CL9T-6GBNQ )
    OCZ DDR3-1600 Platinum Edition 3GB Triple Channel Kit ( OCZ3P1600LV3GK )
    OCZ DDR3-1800 Platinum Edition 2GB Dual Channel Kit ( OCZ3P18002GK )

    Kits not mentioned
    Corsair XMS3 Dominator TR3X6G1866C9DF 6GB DDR3 3X2GB DDR3-1866 CL 9-9-9-24 Core i7 Memory Kit??????

    OCZ OCZ3B2000LV6GK Blade 6GB 3X2GB DDR3-2000 CL7-8-7-20 240PIN Triple Channel Memory Kit????????
    OCZ Reaper HPC 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1866 (PC3 15000) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory?????

    Someone got this kit and it wouldn't boot:
    OCZ 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1333 (PC3 10666) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory -

    So this probably means this one won't work either

    OCZ XMP Ready Series 6GB (3 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR3 SDRAM DDR3 1600 (PC3 12800) Triple Channel Kit Desktop Memory - Retail

    Last question:

    Someone made this statement:

    With the Core i7 920 and 940 you will only be able to use memory clocked at these speeds "800, 1066, 1333" and will be able to "overclock" to 1600 and 1800 only

    ONLY with the Core i7 965 Extreme will you be able to use memory clocked at " 1333,1600, 1866, 2000 and 2100"

    TRUE OR FALSE?

    Next question..the Foxconn Bloodrage manual clearly states compatible memory "800, 1066, 1333"..and overclock memory 1600 and 1800"...question how can this motherboard be "extreme" if it is limited to a memory clock of 1800? And to further add confusion, on another forum or possibly this one, someone clocked their RAM at 2100Mhz?
    How is that possible if the manual states that your "overclock" memory ceiling is 1800Mhz?

    Thanks for your help and input

    Regards, Hermes

    I used the ocz gold 6gb 1600mhz and have had no trouble installing them on either of the two machines ive built.

    and to answer your question about overclocking the ram, its possible with a 920 to take it as high as 2.5k, so you just have to play around with it some

    How about the Bclk?

    The Bclk of each processor will limit you as well as the 1.65 Dram voltage limit rule with the Core i7

    General rule:
    920 = 1400....overclock to 1600
    940 = 1400..overclock to 1800
    965= 1400 overclock to 2000( with 12x multi)

    But your saying that you can get beyond 1600 with the 920 say using the new Dominator GT..rated at 2000Mhz?

    So you are also saying that 1866 and 2000 Dominator 6 gig kits are compatible with the 920/Foxconn Bloodrage?

    i cant tell you for sure that those specific ram sets will work, as i havent personally used them, but ive personally taken my ocz as high as 1866 and gotten it to post, as well as haven seen numerous examples online of people using the bloodrage to get much high overclocks than that, but you can definitely go past 1600 with the 920

    there is no real limitation for memory overclocking on either of the 920 or 940
    You should reach the same speeds on a 920 or 940 as on a 965.
    The more recent chips seem to clock much better and need less vtt and vcore btw

    and about the 1800 oc mentioned on the package and manual, thats just cause our product managers were worried that tons of people would complain that they cant get their memory stable etc if we would add "official" support for 2000 and above.

    Thanks

    OK..thanks..... in my research it was found that the 965 was fast but inflexible.
    The 920 seemed to be the "most flexible"

    AS for the Bloodrage, looks like it won't be in stock until the end of March here....
    At this point I think, I'll end up getting the Bloodrage for my brothers birthday.....wouldn't he drool over one of these

    Cheers, Hermes
