hehe Dave is a really cool guy and it was a pleasure to met you my friend

A few more pic's

Ok some pic's coming up

The big tent outside durning the day.

The cold stuff

They had 2 small tanks of Liquid Helium

The crew durning the day getting things tuned up with LN2. That pot would take a full thermo of LN2. They would pour it non stop to keep it filled up. Temps for these tune ups for -190c, about as cold as you can get with LN2.

Jake from EVGA was there inside having fun with a Core I7 965 setup. He was rather board here and I thought I heard hi, crying under his breath... I want to play with Liquid Helium, we are only -80c here ! ... soob... soob. Just kidding Jake

The over head screens as it started to get dark

The dome outside at night. I told them... This is Vegas you guys need Lasers !

And they are starting to get ready for the Helium

These here are at -230c which was as cold as they could go. Breaking 3DMark05 records with a 45K+change run

So with the setup they were using they said that they need to develope new pots to get even colder. It was pretty wild, I had to leave the tent a few times because of all the Helium in the air, you could smell it and it would get to me after awhile. They said the night before it filled the top part of the dome and started to change the sound of the speaker setups they were using.

So with these new AMD chip you simply cannot get them cold enough. You could pour LN2 by the gallons and these chips still want more. They ended up with a CPUz run of 6.8ghz I think it was. But final WR was run at -230c and 6.3ghz.

Intel was rolling inside with a 965XE setup and had some problems at first but Jake from EVGA managed to pull some good numbers out of there on LN2, I think it was 5.3ghz that I saw, he most likely got a bit higher as Jake showed Franswa *sp from Intel how to run this setup. Good Job Jake !!

It was a great event !
