    thanks ColonelCain, you rule!

there seems to be only 5 keys of each type (32/64 bit). After clicking the like about 20 times for each link, it seems it recycles 5 different keys for each.

edit: i can confirm that 64bit keys work on 32. I just tried a 64bit key on my 32bit windows 7 and it worked fine

If you're really having that much trouble, then just wait until the beta actually goes live. It was delayed due to the trouble they were having.

I've heard similar reports on other sites, though I don't remember the exact number.

I already said this, I got 4 in a cycle, 4 in x64 link, 4 in x86, after refreshing and trying other things, only 4 per one.

It's true, I just got 6 (six) keys for each version after reloading both links a few times.
So this is pretty much like Volume Licensing keys from WinXP era.
    Keep trying, you're missing 4 :P

You can use it for 30 days without a key, then do the rearm thing to reset the counter. Or you can just click the link to get a key and forget about it :P

For me, it's worthwhile to get a key, as I been using the alphas and beta's as my main opsys on my laptop for a while now. Since my laptop is a lot more speedier then it was with vista on it.

Their is something called "2008 server converter" on TPB that has a button called REARM.
I tried that on Windows 7 and it does reset the timer on it so it gets back to 30 days again.
    Everything extra is bad!

Rearm is just a slrmgr command. It's not that hard to do.

I simply can't get the ISO through Microsofts own site. For some reason it just stops downloading after a while. Does anyone else have the same problem? I'm trying to get it through a torrent now, but that is not nearly as fast.

I was wrong, i got 6 x64 keys and 5 x86, the same as Warboy.

I'm not posting the sixth one in here because The Coolest also got a key not on this list, and different as the one I have as well.
Maybe there is 1 unique key per betatester, who knows...

    X64 mirrors http://www.findfiles.com/list.php?st...iso&db=Mirrors

    X86 mirrors http://www.findfiles.com/list.php?st...iso&db=Mirrors

Try using a download manager like getright to resume the download if it suddenly stops, and also to get it from two or more different sources at the same time.

Yeah, I wouldn't download from them until they say it's official. Your not the only person experiencing that problem.

That's a good point. I didn't even realize we needed a key. I thought we just had to download the ISO, burn it to a CD, boot from the CD, and have at 'er.

EDIT: Just pulled a key off MSN no problem.

People that have been busy refreshing the pages last night and this morning got different keys than these sets. I used one from this list to activate my copy of Windows 7 7000 I downloaded almost 2 weeks ago and it activated just fine. Dunno what happened at MS and why they they spent almost a whole day distributing individual keys and then switching to just these 2 sets of keys.

unfortunately, downloads from these links always stopped to work after a few minutes/hours.

however, downloading from http://www.microsoft.com/windows/windows-7/ works again now. using the akamai download manager i'm downloading with fullspeed

besides, i've been hinted to some other sources where the german versions can be downloaded as well. even though it took longer, it's now also available at the usual suspects hehe

Sweet, I'm using it right now and I'm certainly pleased. Running it on my laptop at the moment and pretty much everything seems to be working just fine. I've had no problems whatsoever and Windows update found all necessary drivers by itself. Boot up performance is not such a major improvement over Vista for me though, maybe my expectations were a bit to high on that part or my system is not running optimal. I'll see what boot up speed will be like on my desktop system sometime in the future, I've got no time for that right now (Test period, so I've got to study).

All is working fine so far. Even the drivers that weren't quite working, are no working. That means that my LAN and audio are functional! I'm wondering if vLite will accept Win7 Beta1--I'd like to try this on my EeePC 900 12G.
