    not the million $ question, will this work with nehalem?

    Swiftech has a history of making adapter plates for any of there products to fit anything lol.

    wow... i want one. haha. trying to get into water cooling. newbie here. i just got 2 mcp350's, and trying to figure out all the other parts... this gtz looks like it's top on the list for a cpu block.
    My parts change too often to list on a sig! upgrade fever is hitting me hard. Must get away from forums.

    Does that block require grinding down the stock heatsink? I can see no other way to make that work with the current Maximus II Formula boards.

    No, the waterblock portion unscrews from the heatpipe system. The Asus block is mounted to another copper block for the heatpipes. The actual block does not contact the NB chip, it sits on top of another copper block. The Swifty will replace the top block...make sense?

    The northbridge heatsink is removable from the rest of the heatpipe assembly. So the nb waterblock will sit on a piece of copper sandwiched between the nb and waterblock.
