MSI & OCTH hit the magic six ^^

    hi all,
we got this mobo for the MSI Competiton, and got decent results with it last week -> E8500@5795MHz, but ive got my E8600 ES yesterday so wanted to test this baby on that board again, but coz it has some issues with high fsb ive tryd to push harder (ln2 for the chipset) but sadly it doesn't make any sense
anyway this results was maxed out on this mobo...

Intel E8600 ES #Q814A @ 1,70v (max vcore from bios)
MSI P45 Platinum (1.1 bios, unmodded)
    1*1GB Crucial Ballistix 8500
    ATI 7000 PCI
    CSX SATA2 SLC 30GB SSD
    Ultra X3 1000W
ryba cpu pot ln2 filled -92C coldboot, -110C coldbug on the mobo
LD pot's cpublock part for the NB

    MSI naked

    ln2 somke

    frozen

and i've run some wprime and cinebench (for the Contest) but those scores are on my other HDD so will upload them later... just some runs @ 5.7G

can't wait to maxed out this chip in some real oc freak mobo like a biostar or rampage ex.

    regards,
    bala

Nice job guys, can't break out the soldering iron and tweak a little more vcore? Impressive for 1.7v, probably 1.67v under load?

bah, its a long and funny story... it's still not finished, an other team got the chance to make better scores coz they got wrong mobo, so we have one week for extra time to improve our results so i made this results for update, but it won't be valid, coz we can't use different cpu... baah, i don't care

thank you [XC] gomeler you know MSI calculate max voltage wich could be given from your cpu's VID, so the max voltage was with C0 E8500 1.78v real, but when i put this chip on the mobo i've seen 1.85v max in bios menu, and i thought that will be enough, and when ive put ln2 on it and pushed the vcore upper it was fallen to 1.70 setable anyway it was between 1.696-1.724v all the time... this was my last run on this mobo, will see in biobio or something else next time...

Grats, that is a good batch and it should have a lot more left in it on another board.
