We have followed this wish and the result is the Xconnect, which can be used for all copper coolers of the current aquagrafx (except for 9800 GX2) and aquagratix series, so it is not only suitable for Nvidias SLI but also for ATIs Crossfire.

The Xconnect is manufactured from delrin and has G 1/4 " threads. The water flows behind each other through the connected coolers.

Currently the Xconnect is only an idea and we would like to hear your opinion, whether you would buy something like that or not or which changes or improvements should be done.

@ lyl, what about starting a new thread about the XConnect? Do you want to do it? I think it's worth it. If you don't I will

actually it's been already mentioned here by Shoggy from AC:
    http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...0&postcount=32

    but still, a new thread...

if AC will adopt EK´s sli system they have to work over time to keep up with supplies. Lovely blocks but the connectors sucks because the buyers have less options while building unlike EK and DD blocks; Lyl is just an example. I hope SHOGGY will talk with their block designers.

Good thing too. That hugh market is getting us some pretty great blocks and parts from Koolance, including their GPU blocks. As for Zalman/TT wc, well, still not worth considering.

    +1

So does the EK 280 block come with the aluminium backplate?

I'm guessing yes but I'd like to make sure before I go ahead and order a couple

    ***EDIT***
NM, found the answer in another thread and no it doesn't come with the backplate, guess I'll hang on for a week or two

I receive today in France my waterblock for my BFG 280GTX. Quality is nice. Better than my first EK waterblock I bought for my 8800GTX
Now I am waiting than EK release the seconde block for the ram to mount everything.
Some rechange screw and more than one pad for the ram would be nice

Straight from Petra's mouth via email question I sent him:

The FuZion GFX 2 does include a mounting bracket which is compatible with the HD 4870.
I should know by tomorrow or Wednesday depending on when the UPS guy drops it off. I'll be sticking it onto a Leadtek HD4870 and I'll let you know.

I've ordered the Swiftech MC14 copper 16 pin RAMsinks. VREG is totally possible. From what I've read on other forums, the GDDR5 memory doesn't get hot but the V Regulators do.

I dont know. I thought they were starting production of them last week and would be available this week. Its just a waiting game...

In the mean time, I've decided I might not even get a full-cover block

I'm almost to that point! I've recently been acquiring bits and pieces for a new rebuild, which is pretty much hinging for the moment on an HD4870 and a block for it. I really want a full cover block this time aorund, just because I've never used one before, but I just don't know if I have patience!

    Hi!

The problem with supplying the samples of the cards is the reason for taking us so long to make the block for radeons 4850/4870.
They had very stricted security for these cards and I had to use all my connections even to get it when they came out :S

Blocks will be available on monday...

Some 3D pictures from the program (not 3D render):

Good eye, i was checking the site daily, but you beat me to it this morning :P (damn work)

How does a US buyer fend for one of these? Never bought from EK before

Edit: Thanks for posting, Eddy. Block looks nice as expected. Now i have to decide a flavor

Glad to see that they're nearing release. Hope to see them show up here in the hot little hands of US retailers soon!
