laragirl83 test it for 5-6 hours to see what's heavy load and then post SS here![]()
This is lame, sorry... regarding TEMPS (not stability...) a few minutes, like 10-15 mins more than enough, to see how hot it gets...
And IF we're talking about stability, 5-6 hours r not enough...
In my way of benching, Prime95 Small FFT's for, at least 12+ hours, and then Blend test, for another 12+ hours, show you stability!
Just for the record!![]()

That was just because you said heavy load
Of course that 5-6 hours are not enough to see is your system really stable. We understod each other I hope![]()

Those Q813 are really insane
But I didn't see some Q813 under LN2![]()
My q813 is not that great but I'm on it at 4.2ghz 1.36v bios 1.37v cpu-z 8hour prime stable. This is my 24/7 clock.
after wasting all night on that E8400 batch #817 !! it sucks wouldnt go past 3.8 stable at 1.365 volts !!
MY new gem is E8400 batch #814 took less than 15 min to get stable at 4.0 would work at 1.22 volts for 100% stable used 1.285 volts
didnt have time to play with it ... (in a compition for a Q6600 had to get back to folding each w/u is a ticket in the drawing)
but with further tweeking hope to get it down to 1.25 or so![]()

Thanks for the reply. I changed the vcore to several different settings and it still fails orthos, occt and prime 95. Although on one vcore setting I was able to do some video encoding with dvd rebuilder pro with no problems of the pc locking up or freezing.
I now have the vcore set to 1.30 within the mobo bios but with windows loaded cpu-z & occt shows vcore at 1.26 & it failed occt as well. I also set the vcore to a lower voltage like 1.20 within mobo bios but windows wouldn't load at all.& I'm frustrated at this point since I can't seem to find the happy medium for overclocking to 3.6ghz. I'd appreciate any tips on what settings I need to use for a stable overclock of 3.6ghz. Thanks in advance!

Is there anything I should know before messing with the GTL settings?mess with them GTL volts and get that baby rockstable mate !!! at loooooooooow volts... I can get mine stable now at 1.27volts with 8 x 500
Can I hurt my chip at all?
Do I just start changing them one number at a time and see what happens?
-I briefly read what they are from http://www.edgeofstability.com/artic.../gtl/gtl1.html but most of this stuff is over my head.
