Well, I have the professional version and still cannot upload results to the ORB. Once I disabled and reenabled the services, my network connection is dead and I cannot install Vanatage on any of my other PCs, because they all have XP...

It sucks in about every aspect that I can think of compared to the older ones.

- You can't save scores with anything but the professional version
- GT1 and the CPU tests look like garbage
- You are forced to use Vista ^^

It is nice to see how well it scales with both CPU and even more GPU power, but that is about it.

The loading times are freaking me out. You have to wait between a minute or 2 before the benchmarks starts.

what are you using to overclock your graphics cards? i can't get riva tuner to work with the 175.12 drivers, ATI tool doesn't work in vista x64, and ntune gives me BSODs...

Rivatuner > power user > system > click forcedriverversion and point in 16921, hit enter and it should be working

I used Vista 32bit and Rivatuner worked just fine. For 64bit, I think there is a workaround to get ot working.

thanks for tests Fr3ak , this pro-advance thing really sucks, who will pay that much money in order to save the results ?
btw, i always hate to see cpu tests on a bench called "3d" , as it says it is 3d benchmark, nothing about how many cores a cpu has.. if you can make a 3d benchmark that can use multiple cores, than make it but adding cpu tests to a 3d benchmark is nonsense for me

Whats all this crying about vantage...you will be running LN2 to complete a benchmark, does it really matter if your looking at loading screens or a bench running?? It's start to end and thats it. From an extreme benching point of view(which is the only point of view I HAVE) this benchmark rocks. It's short and sweet and scales with the monster setups(something that almost all other 3d benchmarks don't currently do. Your benching for a final score thats it.. who cares what your seeing lol. I am watching my temp meters almost whole bench anyways. I have seen 2006 run enough times already to make me puke..and got sick of this one MUCH sooner. Some guys turn their monitors off when running 3dmark lol.

A minute or two doesn't seem right tho...maybe more like 35-45seconds or so.
And I guess the cpu test is 2006 looks much nicer than this one??

I love 3dmark2001 as much as anyone, but quad core cpu and quad gpu does not scale in that benchmark.... so a bench like this is good to have ALONG with the others.

I know I am the little crybaby here, but my expections were much higher =)

It runs that slow because of the huge amount of objects, but that's it. And yes, the 06 CPU test looks much better. At least we have shadows there

I had to wait for the benchmark to start for 2 mins, I even have it on tape ^^

Guess I will be benching with better cooling in less than 2 weeks hehe

I just hope I don't have to use buggy skulltrail.

Maybe not, but would still like the actual benchmark just as much and would defintely still run it. I can see your guys gripe about not being able to see the screenshot and this seems to be a legit about vantage, especially if you pay for it. Maybe this is FM's way of reighning in control of the usage of their products via screenshots on "other" websites for system comparisons. Can only see your score on the orb..

hey Ollie you filthy fr3Ak....I hope you dont mind me posting this here, you can see that this benchmark is really gpu bound and scales alot like 2003. It's all gpu horsepower that pulls vantage score. I took skulltrail from 4ghz-5.6ghz and score only goes up about 2k keeping same air card clocks with stock cooling. With GX2's in quad @1000mhz+ on LN2, the scaling will be HUGE 2-3x what I got from the cpu I bet. At 5.6ghz I see 6500+ OPS on first cpu test
