    Q6600 (4000+mhz)with 8800gt gets around 16,300
I wish this was much faster than the gt, then I would pay the $100 and stepup.

    8800GTS 16.794 - QX6850@4050 Mhz - ~766/2000/1030

    8800GT 16.719 - Q6600@4005 Mhz - ~799/2052/1080 Mine

    8800GT 17.008 - Q6600@4080 Mhz - ~802/2052/1026

Its quick, just not the gap from the GT I was hoping for tbh.

Damn those are extreme GT scores. Nice benchs, only shows that tweaktowns review is not accurate IMO.

Yeah, but they're not hard modded either of them and mine is still air cooled. The GT may be a bit slower, but overclocked to similar levels are you going to see any difference in game?

Hmm. So the GTS-G92 is about ~10% faster (based on 1920x1200 Crysis #s higher up in this thread) than the GT but MSRP is about ~20% more? The 8800GT still seems like a slightly better buy. I'll wait for more reviews though.

I'd like to see if a 8800GT/GTS-G92 with 1024MB GDDR# would see any performance benefits just for ----s 'n' giggles :p

Wow this card is awesome, better than a 8800 Ultra . BTW, a closer comparison to the 8800GT is:

125 FPS stable, you are kidding right? I am hardpressed to see any difference above 70 or so. Not too mention that your LCD can probably only display 60 Hz max. I have a CRT which can do 100 Hz @ 1600 X 1200 and I find an average like Kain665's to be perfect. I prefer to never drop below 50 and ave. at least 70-80FPS.

No not kidding at all. I play clanbase matches and pcw's and i do notice the difference in gameplay when the fps drops ecpecially if its not a stable value or goes below 80fps. In vcod coduo and cod2 theres even a bonus to 125 250 and 333 fps it makes it easier jumping. Come try it out on one of our 14 servers = )

Supposedly December 3rd was supposed to be a soft launch, and then in the next couple of weeks they'll start popping up.

    Just be patient!

Have a price over here in Oz.

$459 AUD. Normally this place is prob the cheapest prices you'll find.

    http://www.msy.com.au/Parts/PARTS.pdf

Roughly the same price as the old 640 GTS. Now i want to see some more reviews.
