    Smile Another watercooled P182...

    Just thought I'd share some pics of my latest build, currently running at stock and passive as I need to get some screws for the fans on the rad.

    Specs in sig, added in a HR-05 on the NB, going to get a 70mm fan for it. 8600GTS after going under water went from 783 -> 810 on the core, used to artifact due to heat, plan on voltmodding it later this week.

    D5 -> Rad -> Apogee GT -[7/16"]-> Maze 5 -[7/16"]-> DD BayRes -> D5

    This is a reminder to always measure twice and cut once, cut the hole for the rad too far in and had to twist the tubing in a way I'd rather not... Made the brackets myself

    Here's my new 8600GTS from XFX RMA with a Maze 5 block and some RAM sinks I had left over from another build.

    ...and mounted in the case (sorry for picture quality)

    Just need to sort out some screws for the fans on the rad so I can start pushing this CPU and volt mod the graphics card.

    Comments?

    What do your temps look like with the passive? Have you compared it to active?

    Can't run active yet, as I need to get some screws for the radiator fans. At stock speeds, with no airflow over the rad:

    CPU - Idle/Load: 37/47C
    GPU - Idle/Load: 34/41C

    That's after about half hour load on both CPU (Prime95) and GPU (ATItool scan for artifacts). The temps do creep up slowly as the water in the loop heats.

    However, back when I was using a BIX /w 110CFM Sanyo with E4400 at 3300Mhz, I still got similar temps to stock and passive. I think the CPU temps are reporting too high...

    As for GPU, with stock cooling I was getting 45C idle and 82C load at stock speeds, so passive WC beats it by a huge margin.

    Can't wait to get some fans on there

    I once ran my Xeon 3060 at 3.6GHz and 8800GTS passive with an MCR320-QP and my temps got up to 75C under a slight load.
