we need pictures for the internals
Soon to be :
ASUS P8P67 Deluxe, Intel SB i7-2600k, G.Skill Rj-X F3-12800CL6D-4GBXH, MSI HD6950 2GB, Corsair 750AX, Intel 80GB G2 SSD, DELL U2410
Used to be: SaFrOuT
i second that. we need internal pics
For the record I am not sick, nor am I a gamer, nor am I a sick gamer. That name just sounds really cool to me but dont put me under that stereotype at all.
nevermind... addicted to COD4 and Free Online Games baby!
Frightening.
I say that thermalright doesn't waste any R&D money on crappy waterblocks, and sticks to their kicka$$ aircoolers instead.
Core i7 920 D0 B-batch (4.1) (Kinda Stable?) | DFI X58 T3eH8 (Fed up with its' issues, may get a new board soon) | Patriot 1600 (9-9-9-24) (for now) | XFX HD 4890 (971/1065) (for now) |
80GB X25-m G2 | WD 640GB | PCP&C 750 | Dell 2408 LCD | NEC 1970GX LCD | Win7 Pro | CoolerMaster ATCS 840 {Modded to reverse-ATX, WC'ing internal}
CPU Loop: MCP655 > HK 3.0 LT > ST 320 (3x Scythe G's) > ST Res >Pump
GPU Loop: MCP655 > MCW-60 > PA160 (1x YL D12SH) > ST Res > BIP 220 (2x YL D12SH) >Pump
If it is full copper, and if it has good internals, the block may be great.
We need shots of the Internals!

Well I think they mean business... at least they are telling us who their intended customer base is.. "Gamers"* High-performance supermicro-channel design increasing volume and speed of flow, in direct contact with copper base
* Tight and sturdy mounting mechanism tailored to the specs of gaming motherboards
* Quick and easy installation
* All copper block and lid for minimal oxidation effect and erosion
i don't know if it is the same wb, but vr-zone.com posted this picture from computex07

Loop 2 DTek Fuzion gfx - Aircube X2 360 -Laing D5 - Case Custom
Eek... Not sure if that's going to allow water to drip through, Let alone restrict flow.
Of course those pictures are not enough to make any assumptions.
EDIT: Some other Computex pictures of TR WC products...
An Apparent picture of the block in action! With what appears to be spaghetti painted bronze used as a passive radiator:
Closeup:
The Spagetti radiator:
A Spagetti Rad for "Vide game console"... Looks like they will be chalanging Koolance in the Xbox360 cooling Dept:
And PS3:
Any word on these "Spaghetti" radiators that Thermalright is designing? I wonder if, During the manufacturing process, They throw the radiator against the wall and see if it sticks; So as to make sure it's done.
Or perhaps it's not actually made of spaghetti; Who knows.

I'm really interested in what Thermalright can offer. They've basically owned the air cooling sector. At least its an all copper solution without any alu so they're off to a good start. Anyone have the release date on this?
I'm actually more interested in their water cooling kit for the Xbox360.

have to wait and see what they do in the near future, that radiator looks pretty funky though
need proper pics of the waterblock though
hmm spagetti radiator, what would they think of next...
thermalright waterblock could use some internal pictures...
Meh, care to guess what it is barbed for? Looks like 1/4 to me.
May be a damn good for 1/4 barb.. But, it's 1/4 barb.
L64 x W48 x H17mm
Take a look at the pick with the dimensions in mind, it's tiny.
edit:took a second look.... May be 3/8. Still, it freaking small.

i personaly dont like the postioning of the barbs, too close to eachother and offset more then usual...only time will tell if they'll end up like thermaltake; not bad on air, sux in water.
notice that? kinked tube...id say 3/8"

When a review comes along it will be interesting to see how it does.
I hope it does well, always good to have more competition driving innovation.

Thermalright's site says "All copper block and lid for minimal oxidation effect and erosion"
Looks like a black nickel plate finish on the "copper" top to me.

I wonder how it would work as a chipset block even though it's a cpu block. it looks like it could be used as one.
