Thanks to George for few valuable tips on getting the AW9D up to speed, he's a great guy and very helpful.
I'm trying to give elmor a run for the money until more guys join the party, it's a pain to keep up with the DFI in system scores.

Same setup as before, a little more tweaking and bumped VGA + PCI-e clocks.
I've got an idea...lets ban drag and nature.![]()
Heh, nice one bro, those ATI sure let the CPU power loose
What mobo were you using ? Is it OK if we agree on your clocks VGA limits for everyone ?
Asus Commando.
Yes, I should think these clocks are reasonable...they're lower than what I see most people posting on air.
I didn't notice that andre had already done one at stock GPU though.

elmor > Thanks mate, it wasn't easy to catch up with you and to be honest I had to use your bench order to get there. You go bench those 2900's now, I have a feeling they ask for coldness.
As for me, this is my last score on 975X as I moved to 680i in the meantime. A little slower PCI-e clock but higher shaders.

andre_X_X, let's keep the VGA clocks at 870/1025 so we can compare results from now on. BTW, what mobo are you using, P5B ?
oopps sorry, i forgot to read 1st post again, i see you limit the clock to 870/1025, anyway can i go lower mem freq? btw, im using P5B Deluxe

Great job so far fellasImpressive work by everyone.
@Gautum: Man you need to lose the you know what
Been having a little 01 platform shootout over here last day or two trying to determine where the diff chipsets stand with each other in an all clocks equal situation on cpu and taking what the chipset will give in terms of strap/mem speed. Now I ran these all with the same vid card and vid bios using all same clocks/shaders etc. 3604mhz on all and on all chipset except 680i, I kept the pci-e mhz under 130. Used the same set of memory for all benches as well. I think 975x could benefit more from using tighter memory with some tighter adv. timings, so I might go ahead and do that next time. 975x probably got the least effort from me in it's defense as the dom 10k's really arent the best clockers for that mobo I think, though they rule on some of the others.
I tried to keep within the same test orders on most, though some platforms require a diff approach to test order. That's where the legwork will pay off.
And the fun part of dicovery is.
Inluded some of my first DDR3 benching on the ASUS P5K3 with some samsung reference modules, which I kept at 1.85v for it's 3600mhz 01 session.
Guess I'll start with lowest to highest scores and the p5k3 first. I think this ddr3 is a great score considering the mem voltage used (1.85v). This rig took about 50% of total time on all five boards just to get this far believe it or not. It shows nice potential IMO:
P5k3 DDR3 8800ULTRA COMPARE
Next up 680iSLI with the striker. Pushing the pci-ex a little harder on this mobo and can always pull better natures with it:
STRIKER 680iSLI 8800ULTRA COMPARE
Here is the 975x one. May re-run with some tighter mems though:
P5WS64-PRO 8800ULTRA COMPARE
P5B-DELUXE on 2:3 strap laying down some nice runs:
P5B-DELUXE 965x 8800ULTRA COMPARE
Finally, P5K-DELUXE screaming at 515mhz fsb/ 617mhz ddr2 cas4. I am really liking this mobo atm:
P5K-DELUXE P35 + 8800 ULTRA COMPARE
These are ALL relatively great numbers and this was really fun to do, but higher can still be achieved ULTRA fine tuning each platform for EXACTLY what it needs.
What was that Vince? You want me to lose 10 FPS in LL and 15 in CH?Originally Posted by k|ngp|n
Damn, seriously good work with the whole line-up. It's really interesting to see how 975 and 965 stack up...they've each got their own strengths. Also nice to see 680i pushing out the highest raw GPU power.
That's what i was expecting
Awesome runs Vince, alot of useful info to chew. I've also tested Abit AB9 QuadGT, Abit AW9D-MAX and EVGA 680i SLI and the results look pretty much the same (even if the QuadGT couldn't run 7x514, bad board).
Nice touch with the running order, it seems it's a little faster than mine. LL/DL/etc right ?![]()
I see you haven't lost any of your talent. Are you running 10MHz below just to make things harder for yourself or what.

Nice work sang, what RAM clock/timings ? DH seems a little slow, you're maybe running it too late ?
You knew I had this stashed somewhere, so here it is: 69736 for GTX class. CL is bad tho'.

one more with 450 4:5 4-4-4-4
looks like 450 its the minimum BUS speed for DL.Otherwise, 150-200 3dmark points are wasted.
