Yum yum! I'm glad to see such an influx of shots already, great work everyone. Now we know who the real men are.

You're correct except that C3 BIOS set is very fast on i965. In fact, it matches i975, just look at my entry.

I don't want to go nuts over verification because I just want to keep things fun. If its going to make someone feel better by faking a 500 CAS 3 shot by Memset, so be it.

Now one thing however, Bad Axe 4:5 shots also should not be posted as they are not real. Once again I just ask for cooperation, I don't want to have any b***ching over this. Bad Axe 4:5 was shown to be totally broken and people even got 600MHz CAS 3 shots like that. :S

    Asus P5W DH Deluxe
SuperPi 2M Benchable there with 2.91V

    Edit: D9GMH ICs
Dadgum--memtesting at such speeds and volts ...I love it.

I'll probably edit the first post in a bit.

Okay now here's my entry. I see a lot of stuff at low CPU speeds, but here's a time whose performance matches the clock. For those of you doing this on i965, I hear a lot about there being a CAS 3 bug and all- there is not. However I strongly recommend that you not use tRCD 3. It doesn't make clocks any easier but it hurts performance a lot. IMHO 3-4-4-x is the fastest on i965. 3-4-3-x looks okay too.

So, 3-4-4-8 BIOS booted, 1066 strap (of course) 2.9V, Team Group Xtreem PC2-5300, Asus Commando. Anyone doubting whether this is really CAS 3 can feel free to try and beat my time at the same clocks.

The clock for clock performance of this is actually even higher than what I got on a P5W DH 3-3-3 on the 9X.

Duh, yes. Though TBH I found tRP 3 to be somewhat of a headache with my config as well. Edited.

First off validation as always. Settings were booted from BIOS.

    http://valid.x86-secret.com/show_oc?id=181144

    System Specs:
    Motherboard: P5N32-E SLI
CPU: X6800 @ 3900.00 on Jinu Modded VapoLS, Thanks Again!
Memory: Single Dimm 1 GB Corsair 8888C4D @ 3-3-3-8-2T (546.0 MHZ) Don't ask about subtimings, you really don't want to know :P

    Voltages:
    CPU: 1.61v
    vFSB/VTT: 1.47v
    vNB: 1.59v
    vSB: 1.61v
    vMEM: 3.29v

First snapped validation and shot, then ran PI2M, snapped again and crash . Also look at CAS 4 Pi2M. at the same speed, with only CAS Latency changed. Only needs 2.15v, quite a change...

Thats very very fast for 4.5ghz Gautam On 1066 strap x-4-x is faster, boot above 400 and trcd3 should be fine.

Thanks, I actually got a score at 4.64GHz or so from when I was still learning the platform that actually scored worse.

But booting above 400 is never fine for some of us.

Interesting to note though, I never tested 1333. Odd how tRCD 3 suddenly works there and doesn't with 1066.

Have been trying to get under 11 sec with 4.6 max but no go for me. Your cas 3 should do it easy. Best i could do is this. Wil try cas3 500mhz but it wil be on 1333 strap most likely .

I have some other Kits here,

    Dominator 8500 CL5 and Mushkin XP2-8500 both with D9GMH
but they don't wan't to reach the Clocks of my lovly G.Skill 8000 HZ with D9GKX

    @ all the Voltage lovers:

Pls don't give more than 3V on a 6-layer PCB this is the death for the Chips
on 8-layer you can go to 3,2+ with good airflow.

Well, since its my thread, I'll allow a threadjack.

Sub 11/sub 4.6 is something I always wanted, and I did indeed get it Unfortunately you don't have the 12x multi. :-/

However before did pull it off on the 1066 strap and 9x.

I will say this though. CAS 3 500MHz looks great and all, but 600MHz CAS 4 is faster. Not by much, but it is. 11x 2:3 CAS 4 is better than 9X 1:1 CAS 3 unfortunately. :-/ I could beat that 4.5 gig time at 11x409 2:3 if I desired. A little perk of the X6800...

Teams with 8 layer PCB are dying So it doesn't work in every case
