Andre, i can beat you on the Quad-core Super PI 32M...hehehe...having fun now!

How do you know it's the limitation of the board, did that same exact quad chip run with a higher FSB on another board?

Different FSB walls exists for different chips.

I'm back to my c2d. I hated not being able to get my memory above 800mhz with the quad. Andre how high can you run your memory with the quad?

This is with EVGA 680i with same settings. DFI wins by 24s.

So Oskar believes 680i has some serious problems with Quad core? Ack. Not good.

Yes, I am sure, look here, there is a lot of new rev. boards, that can do 400+ FSB! http://www.evga.com/community/messag...TOPIC_ID=29264

I like this a lot, validation of 475 FSB on Quad CPU and new rev.D eVGA 680i

And there is also released a new eVGA 680i BIOS - a P27, major highlight is Quad-Core OC Improvements, so maybe someone will overclock even more! I think DFI must repair this board so these also can do 450FSB on Quad, its not the limit of 680i

    3 DFI RD600 boards l8r & on the reconmendation of fhpchris, I went EVGA 680i & haven't looked back since. (Rev A2)
However, despite the Raid on RD600 being total cr4p, it amazes me that DFI are STILL going to all the trouble of using nice 90 Degree Headers for the SATA ports & you still can't use cables WITH clips!
Nice to see they are still using NB Hooks ffs!

Just small things I guess, but they really pi$$ me off all the same!

my comment is based on the fact that the p5b deluxe which has been available since.... who knows when can o/c the quads very easily to 400+ FSB.

the new eVGA A1/T1's can o/c the FSB's very nicely as shown above.

DFI has had a while to get this board out. I understand that eVGA sort of messed up with their first release but they got it fixed, gave all people (who wanted it) a RMA for their newer version ALL before DFI even got 1 retail board out.

but does that mean i wouldn't buy a DFI board? of course not! this board looks nice. let's hope the price is nice as welll.

    I like,

Testing the board on that CPU, do you know what the max FSB the CPU could reach on another board.

Also didnt see a release date mentioned. Any idea?

Why do you need SATA cables with clips for? Every single board I've had since NForce2 days with added SATA controller haven't had the clip versions and have held in place fine

Hooks are also fine, infact better! Can mount a after market cooler without taking it out of the case.

Be pissed at the secondary heatsink producers who can't make a product with good compatability.

I probably will be getting the infinity 965 board, 680i seems too hit and miss. It's only plus side over 965 is faster 3d performance and nVidia manopoly SLI. 965 is more robust when on the right board and has a better onchip raid controller.

If it ain't watercooled, I don't wanna know.

got a point there.. but in 965 chips you cant maximes your memories.. maybe I'll wait a little longer.. hope they have a retail pricing for this..

    @AndreYang

I couldn't match your subtimings to give you a comparison to the IN9 32 Max. If you could loosen them up a bit I may be able to. I don't want to set over 2.35v in bios on this board because its voltage seems unstable. It overvolts both the cpu & ram sometimes. alhough the vdroop on this board is the worse I've seen @ load.
