I think M.S.R.P. was suppose to be $229. We'll probably see $259-$289. I wouldn't expect much more than $50-$60 over M.S.R.P. just like with the 680i boards. I'm just hoping there are enough memory configurating options to improve the boards slow performance vs. the 975X chipsets. Perhaps it can at least be faster than the 965 & 680i otherwise it may be better to wait for the DFI 680i or Abits. Especially if you want to run SLI.

Just great!!! 100 boards...there is no way I will be lucky enough to get one
I have waited for this board prior to building my setup and need it done over Xmas week as the wife is gone....crap...maybe I will just sell off all my C2D stuff (e6600, 10th anniv crucial ram)and say screw it...I bought a new PSU and HDD for winxp install
what a waste...how could they only have a 100 boards...newegg will likely charge $350 for this board

This sucks badly.
I still think Conroe board generally sucks.
SLI users need 680i, while they maybe dont want 680i because of other reasons (most SLI users wont use hacked drivers).
Crossfire users can use 975 and 965 board, but crossfire on 965 board gives 4x pciE on one of the graphics cards.
975 chipsets are not the best clockers, need much voltage to.
965 not that future proof.
Rd600 seems great but has 2x (for Xfire) 8x pciE, and only 100board avaible.
I'm glad i didn't wait for RD600, instead i bought a cheap good value board

Hell yes its a mini-ITX gaming rig!
Rgone said there are about three times as many BIOS settings as on the Expert board.
Looks like this board is not for the beginner or weak of heart.
Dang, 100! Glad I bought a Infinity 975X.. But, I still will try and get a RD600

Guys some more info for you.
RD600 is not as fast as i975 for superPI, if this matters to you and you spend all your life watching the PC crunch 20 loops then this is not the board for you.
RD600 is FAST in 3d though, and I hear with a hacked SLI driver its faster than i680 in SLI with 7900's
So PI freaks may be disappointed, 3D benchers may be thrilled....you just need to decide whats for you.
Got a problem with your OCZ product....?

Does the northbridge cooler
actually use ALL FOUR MOTHERBOARD CLIPS?
Unless I saw the picture wrong, this motherboard is a watercooler's heaven.

It has that many options but for once some that will test and post up good pics after the review...have the boards early and I have already seen the bios shots that work...so that much is basically out of the way if using good memory...

On a more serious note, thanks for making the effort to feed us these tit bits in realtime. This board is still a bit of a puzzle to me as I want a good RAM testing board but also a 3D benching platform. The commando or any of these 2nd gen 965 broads looks good and I have the option of getting a 680i board. I look forward to seeing some 3D results on this platform as I may get it instead.
screw this board. This isn't souinding good at all. What kind of support do you expect form such an obosolete platform? Maybe the new 965's like Tony mentioned in another thread, will pick up the slack.

That SLI news is really good. Gaming/3D performance is all really care about. I'm not much of a Pi cruncher, but I am concerned with the orthos stability issue. Hopefully it will get worked out and not be like my Abit AW9D-Max.Originally Posted by Tony
I don't remember Gary having 2 7900's so who tested hacked drivers for SLI on this board?
I'm looking forward to grabbing one of these Friday, even if the cost is outrageous

some facts for this board.
It runs sli damn fast with a special driver. It clocks ram as high as commando, it does xfire just fine and has the ability to bond the dual lan also.
I can't see why you would make a comment about a board just because i say its 0.05 secs slower at Pi 1M?

superpi is worthless. It doesn't determine encoding, gaming, or application performance.
