problem with kentfield isnt the clocks, it is the damn mobo's
sure 9x is great and all, but currently the limit with P5B dlx is 12.
What is the max FSB that you can grab with 12x multi?

You should see the Nforce chipset struggle with anything past 290 with kentfield, it is bad!
badaxe2 will help with the FSB issues, and im sure more mobo's will follow.
If you can fight the heat of this bad boy, it will do great clocks on air.

Nope Rol-Co, I tried bios 0711 last night, no change from 0706. Still stuck at 10 multi for my Kents B0nice coolaler, you beat me

I reach 4.1Ghz with SS on my P5Bdel, but have some condensation troubles which have prevented me to go further. Also 1.52V+ on P5B prevents me from booting, very strange.
On Bad Axe max multi is 12 atm, and no more than 280FSB

The P5B Dlx has multipliers up to 12 in the bios for Kentsfield. But x11 and x12 don't work. If you use either, you will get x10 in Windows.
A couple of boards, including the P5W DH, will allow up to x20.
The P5B Dlx, by the way, is about the only board that will do 400+ FSB with Kentsfield.
yep sierra you got that right , but........ the p5w and all other boards except the p5b deluxe changing 1 die in the chip aswell up and down .
so that means that on that boards you only got multi 10.....
thats also the reason why you can't get high fsb with kentsfield on a p5w-p5ws enz

just totally sick cpu power... even the most intensive users wont get more than 50% average cpu usage
