how hot does the 975x mch get? Any value to watercooling it (any better OC?)

I hear watercooling on a I975x can give Nice results for Overclocks.
Up to 15+ FSB improvement.

Thanks, camouflage, I will try the 0209.
But...
Do you know why I lost the 1.35v vcore setting switching from 0116 to 0215 and back to 0116?? As I said, I pulled the battery and jumpered the reset CMOS jumper, so I have no explanation as to why a setting option would disappear.
Anyone???

Hey AndreY,
i did a vmch and vdimm mod for this but i got overclocking failed sometimes if i set the voltage too high.
Anyone know how to prevent this instead of restarting the PC again for your overclocked setting? Do you face the similiar problem?![]()

If you meet high fsb fail, I think it's chip problem. Not of all 975x can oc to 450+, even though high voltage.Originally Posted by rithina

You can adjust it from 1-62 (default 62)
BIOS 0215

Pre-release/cherry-picked board - you can see from the fact it has 4 hooks for the NB (retail has 2)
it is a "Workstation Class DESKTOP Motherboard"
Is it just me.. or is this Mobo very buggy..

Apart from the issues that the mobo turns off on reboot if a FSB over 315MHz is set and it overvolts by about 0.05V (Vcore), I'm very satisfied with it. No problems here.
Intel Xeon E3-1275 v2, ASUS P8Z77 WS, Kingston KHX16C9K2/16X, Zotac GTX 570 AMP!, SB X-Fi Titanium, AVerTV Hybrid Speedy PCI-E, Intel SSD 330 120GB, WD1500HLFS, WD7501AALS, Pioneer BDC-S02BK, Pioneer BDR-207DBK, Corsair HX1000W, Lian Li PC-A79B (noise insulated), 6x Noctua NF-S12A FLX, Corsair H100i, Corsair K70, Razer DeathAdder, Eizo S2431 WH-BK, Teufel Motiv 5
I'm very happy with it too. Not being funny but it's not a SLI-compatible motherboard. The fact hacked SLI drivers work is just good fortune, assuming that Quad SLI will "just work" is a bit silly.
The CPU's VCore is generated through so-called VID Pins. There are usually five of them. By changing the values of these VID Pins, you can increase the default voltage. I believe the numbers in the BIOS correspond to values on an Intel data sheet.Originally Posted by Dani
