    Virginia Foam Insulation Tape - I wouldn't say it doesn't leave a mess when removed though. Somehow, it doesn't play well with liquid electrical tape... Therefore what I did, I folded it in half and glued together. I have neoprene sheets, but I think they are a bit too thick.

    By looking at eva2000's past results and few others' around with 975x mobos, I would say P5B Dlx is clock-for-clock a bit slower but it's nothing very dramatic - around 10-15s. But I can bet you, that in many scenarios, it can still put up a fierce fight and loose it just by a hair or maybe win it... I think that P5B Dlx is more "versatile" board, that allows to clock high all C2D CPUs, not only those with 9 and higher multiplier. On the other hand, I'm pretty sure, pair up P5B Dlx with E6700 or X6800 and some of the Pi times (not all, especially past ~4.4GHz on E6700) will be as good on P5B as on P5W...

    Very nice bachus!! You are one of the few i've senn with L625 on sub-zero. Great results man !!

    Yestarday i was playing with my L625 and with my home ss unit, i was stopped at 4.3Ghz, not a great time, but i hope tomorrow enter in some DI action.

    I meant too slow for superpi records If you get the p5b to get high ram clocks, and even that way you dont get a good performance boost ( still perform worse ), then is not the best. Of course, with P5W DH we will never see 600FSB, but that's useless with "high" cpu's, even more when C2 revision of 965 performs worse than C1 ( im not sure about this but i guess so )

    BTW, it's a VERY good mobo IMHO, specially for allendales or low multi cpus, but i wont buy one for myself because i dont want allendale or low multi cpu.

    ... just wanted to add a nice, even 4.20GHz passing 3hrs of ORTHOS Blend But this thing is like an oven - once in a while I could see it hitting +10C

    ORTHOS Blend @ 525x8=4200MHz --> stopped @ 3 hours

    On a side note, I wonder if there is anyone else on phase that tried ORTHOS and did at least same 3hrs @ ~4.3Ghz...?

    The max prime test i did was at 4,1ghz, my cpu/mb wont go further with more volts... ( 1,65cpu/1,89mch ) That's really nice!

    I needed my system for a LAN party, so I shot through prime one night to make sure it was all right. 10hrs 44 minutes at 4200MHz...apologies for the low clock, I just tend to be sort of conservative with daily usage speeds. Though I'm 95% sure it could handle 4.3GHz.

    Niceeee! What voltage was that at - I bet below around 1.65v (DMM)? I highly dount my chip will do 4.3Ghz - from what I tried, even 4.25GHz is no-go. Yours is X6800 after all, so it has to be better, right?

    Small FFT parts of my ORTHOS Blend test, were the ones where temperature was raising all the way to +10C. During LargeFFTs, it stayed below 4C...

    OK, I think this is pretty much all what I wanted to bench, 3D benchmarking after vcore-mod is done! On average, I got around slightly over 100MHz boost on all benchmarks... Cool!

    3DMark2001 @ 554x8=4430MHz --> 56237

    Aquamark3 @ 554x8=4430MHz --> 154,139

    3DMark03 w/out CPU tests @ 550x8=4401MHz --> 22818

    3DMark06 @ 544x8=4352MHz --> 5650

    3DMark05 w/ CPU tests @ 542x8=4337MHz --> 10199

    3DMark03 w/ CPU tests @ 542x8=4337MHz --> 22773

    Thanks again for taking time to check out my results!

    You gotta be kidding bachus, 24-26C is warm? . I can get to 24C ambients if I use air conditioning, which is basically essential just to remove the humidity .

    26C warm

    Anyway, rebuttal rant aside; Damn nice FSB, RAM and E6600 overclock there mate . Very well done
    I'd love to see what you could do on a cold day .

    Hehe, your 32M time tells a different story.
    1.65v BIOS set which usually should be around 1.64-1.65 actual on the P5W DH (doesn't seem to droop the way the P5B does.

    Haha, I know you Aussies have it a lot harder, with your hot weather Therefore your DI results are even more impressive

    Thanks a lot OMEGA! That means a lot to me, man Although, epox4life is not making it easy for me - his 32M on E6600 @ 564x8 BUT, I'm not giving up just yet

    SPi32M @ 560x8=4480MHz --> 11:29.719

    I really want 4.50GHz (563x8) but it's been just so damn hard so far...

    Haha, yeah I love it, too It's a pleasure to go sort of "against you", good competition spirit All I was thinking about last night, was to try a bit higher first thing in the morning, when it's a bit colder... This is what I came up with

    SPi32M @ 562x8=4492MHz --> 11:27.094

    But that is IT I need something colder, coz as soon as evap temp rose by 2C to -43C IDLE (after 30 mins of benching), I was not able to re-run 32M at above settings. Clearly, cooling limited at this moment...

    My evap ussually stays around -36C loaded for single core benching. Our times are so close I don't know what more I can do to get an cut an extra 4-5 seconds off. My memory corrupted a couple windows installs on me already, I don't think it's exactly stable at 546mhz @ 4-4-4-4. Not sure of what kind of times i'll see on dice, but we'll find out. I noticed you were running 0701 bios and now 0706 is there any difference? have you tried 0507?

    Now, who said ASUS P5B Deluxe is slow at SuperPi? Both below runs were run at the same conditions, except for rather minor difference in two memory settings...

    SPi32M @ 468x9=4212MHz, DDR2-936 5-4-4-4.0 --> 11:54.484

    ... and let's compare it to SPi32M from my 1st post...

    SPi32M @ 544x8=4352MHz, DDR2-1088 5-4-4-4.0 --> 11:52.937

    I bet, this is almost or even totally on par with P5W Deluxe or P5W64 WS Pro, at the same memory settings

    Not stable at 546Mhz, it can't be that weak, especially with volts you have on your disposal... As for BIOS, I tried most of them and I don't really see any difference between 614, 507 and 706, ecept for one major thing - 5-3-3-3.0 perfomance is TRAGIC! Whatever they did past 0507, it sucks coz SPi times are just stupidly slow!
