any idea?
Today I tested my new pair of 7300GT and also have faced with problems on 85.96.
It was for the first time
I didn't begin to search for the reason of these problems, I have simply reinstalled the driver to 84.56.
This driver is very much pleasant to me, it's WHQL, but unfortunately not FM approved.
I never before published it.
I have added support for videocards:
7300GT
7900GTO
7900GS
7950GT
Here it is: http://steffbard.com/drv_04/84.56_mod2.exe ( FW_84.56_mod / about 16MB )
Enjoy![]()

I can't tell that they faster or slowly, they work other way, especially it differs from 84.21 and 84.43.Originally Posted by Fr3ak

in an other thread i read that you had trouble (blank screen) after reboot with the 85.96 mod drivers, i had too until i connected my card to the DSUB15 (normal VGA) connector of the monitor instead of the BNC jacks i used before.Originally Posted by Natalia
was hoping this driver would enable sli on my 975bx board, but it doesnt recognize my 7950gx2..

hate to act like a N00b, but using FW 91.37, and the "new" control panel, it shows that dual GPU is "enabled"...
Can this actually mean SLI mode on a 975bx?
I have not understood what's a problem.Originally Posted by wase4711
If you use only one 7950GX2, it is not necessary any modified drivers, put anyone 91XX and all will work. If you have a pair 7950GX2 and want to receive QuadSLi on intel, it will not work.

But a quick question Big Sam. I tryd several settings in the nvidia profiles but in Fifa07 iam getting in normal mode better result compared to SLI mode with the 85,96 mod drivers. Would Fifa07 run better with these drivers in SLI ? because you mentioned that modern games would run better on the 84.56_2 mod drivers. I hope to hear from you soon
And not to forget Thanks in advance for the nice jobs your did/doing hereYou definitly my hero

I have corrected mistakes and have repacked the driver by 7zip, it has turned out 16MB: http://steffbard.com/drv_04/84.56_mod2.exe (same link as first)
If it is necessary only one corrected INF, here it is: http://steffbard.com/drv_04/nv4_disp.rar
Do I need a SLI bridge if I use this drivers on my motherboard?

The drivers won't install for me because it says that I'm not running Windows XP. I have a genuine copy installed, but it's 64-bit. Is that what's killing it?
Bah, yes it is because I'm running x64 =/ Is there anybody online who can help a n00b out![]()

Hi Sam,
Thanks for your modified drivers. Do you recommend the 85.96 over the 84.56's you mentioned? Or vice-versa?
Also, will you be working on 91 series FW drivers soon? Thanks and keep up the good work!

It's very hard task, work goes very slowly.
If you havnt tried it already you can use the XG tweakerizer on the 85.96 modded driver. Been running it for a few days and runs smooth and has good IQ.
