Nice, definitely getting this for my Allendale system
Thanks Andre

can you see the c2 revision anywhere printed on the board? or would it be below heatsync?
damnit.. was looking at getting one of these boards next week.. now i dont know what to do![]()

Eny beter performanse with memory bandwidth than C1?
André can you explain me the poor pi time ?
14.65 is really slow for 3.6ghz regardless of the memory timings, i've got 14.1 at 9X400 4/4/4/4 (DDR1000), 14.3 at 9X400 6/6/6/6 (DDR1000).
I've done same 14.65 with : 9X387 (DDR966) 6/6/6/18 and without os optimisation.
Is this the results of the FSB war between Asus and Gigabyte ?
Quartz modded ?
Sorry for this thread crapping but it's impossible for me to reproduce your time with the worst timings possible and 9X400, i just need an allendale to match![]()

I would still like to see max dual channel, and the poor performance at these high fsb's is kida killin the point of running them.
Don't get me wrong 600fsb is nice but if you are forced to run 1 dimm and timings as slack as a bulls @$$ whats the friggin point??
Got a problem with your OCZ product....?
Have a look over here

Even with one stick and the worst timings possible , i can't do 14.65 @ 9x400 (DDR 1000).
Asus and gigabyte are not fair for us, those 600Mhz FSB seems not real.
André can you compare max cpu clock on this mobo and another retail , i think it should do 150Mhz better because of unreal frequency caused by changing the quartz.
Edit : BTW andré, why don't you create a new thread or updated this one when you reached 610 Mhz ?

Do you think this result is unfair to publish it here ?

Fake like coolaler on this thread :

I prefer a real FSB with a NB rev C1 than a C2 at 600FSB + and very poor scores...
no comment
too bad
I love XS

Thanks for the info, Andre.
I don't think I will be buying anymore mobos for awhile though. I already have too many.

Don't forget the key point. This is not 965C1 chip. P5B Deluxe 1.04G 965C2 will be stronger than 965C1.

Nice...Now those PC8888 rams got their mobo

Are real applications like dvdshrink and maybe winrar equally bad?
i tihnk its real but this guy makes a good point:

also tony from OCZ suggest that its running at 1600fsb strap , so the performance is extremely poor
E6600 @ 3.6
IN9 32x MAX
EVGA 8800Ultra
750W
I am rolling back to 975x and an E6600 myself. I don't feel like doing a clockgen up to my OC everytime I boot to avoid the 1333 strap post 400FSB.
I tested as others have, and my rig is definitely faster by setting 399 x 8 with the required voltages for 3.72 in the BIOS then doing a clockgen up to that speed in windows.

Can you explain why ?
yup, cherry pick, and the asus'rd version,if 602 is "easy",push more fsb to 650 is not that hard, right??or asus 'rd can push that, and andre post the results, like last timeOriginally Posted by theteamaqua

I don't think 1600 exists yet but they can losen the internal latency tons to get it running that high.Originally Posted by theteamaqua
the MCH is being pushed real hard and i doubt it would even run dual channel, infact it won't run a 1gig dimm even as the load is too high.
This 600fsb is just marketing BS for me...real performance is from 467 and upto 533 and everyone knows it

Can you promise P5B-D 1.04G Retail is hard to over FSB 600 when it would be available on the market?
I will see many people can do FSB 600 when P5B Deluxe 1.04G is coming on the market.
Hey Andre, this is pretty nice. Good work and thanks for the preview.
Can you tell me, will chips that hit an FSB wall be helped at all with the C2 chip? Or did you have to try a few different chips before you hit 600fsb? My e6300 runs 510x7 stable at 1.45 but it wont boot or clockgen to 520, no matter what.
Wish people would stop bashing on this, all we ever talk aobut here is how high a boards fsb can go, then andre makes 600 and we all tell him it doesnt matter.
P.S. - A bit off topic but can anyone tell me if hte vcore/vdroop mods help getting your cpu fsb up? Thanks.

I don't think my 965C2 is the best. Many people will be over FSB 600 when they got retail box P5B-D 1.04G 965C2.

So : your 14.6xx second at spi 6x600MHz can't be real![]()
Don't try to explain me life and overclocking. I'm sure that you don't know me.
I don't trust you when you say that you reached 600MHz
Next time, at 6x600MHz, please show us a 14,0xxs time at spi![]()
