I also bought those exact nexus fans
How did you manage to fit the nexus on? I had to use my amber coz the nexus has weird column mounting hole things which don't work with the Noctua's clips..

@lawrywild
i get good temps with it. i hope to move up to the amanda tec cooler out early october hoping to get cooler temp.
fitting the fans with the nexus not as easy as with other fans you right but i pull the clips round the sides and they grip on good its adequate. if you look at the pic closely. the clip bent one of the top fins it hugs so tight. can bend the clips slightly too.
Enjoy!
Ambient temps are low 30s, full load hits 39C tops! Same specs as in sig.

The sistem at 5V is absolutely silent! - Don't hear it at night - the PC works 24/7![]()
Temps are really(!) low!
For bench I simply put 10V & never see overheats

My card is the MSI 7900 GTO. The cooler is the new Thermalright HR-03 as
you problably know. With a case temp of 23ºC i have 33ºC in idle and in load
(playing PREY) with 695/1680, 48ºC
Figured i'd share my system with you guys, although i fear it might not be all that extreme - the specs are in my sig.
I have tried to keep it simple and clutter free, my main concern when i build the system was noise, which means low speeds fans, and as little airflow obstructions as possible.. oh and a big ass heatsinkThe ultra120 is the best performer on the market atm, and it is quite easy to handle considering it's size. The two 120mm fans are home sleaved as per freecableguy's excellent guide, but since i don't have a crimp tool i gave up doing the two other fans - it's just to difficult and time consuming to do with nothing but "normal" tools at hand.
The hdd's are suspended with rubber cords for optimal vibration reduction, and it also gives good space between them so as not to obstruct the intake fans too much. As you can see i have nothing in my 5.25" bays (i use an external cd/dvd-writer and a usb-ide converter kit for a wealth of hdd's in my closet from previous systems for external storage) and i am considering weather or not there would be room enough to fit a radiator, a pump and a resevoir into those drivebays and watercool the cpu... *hmm*
This is my first take ever at doing cable management, alot can improve, but i am fairly happy with the state of things...
...especially when i compare to previous comps i've build
Anyways, it's not much to look at, but it runs like dream![]()
