After killing my mobo on sunday (vcore mod went bad) i got a new one yesterday and the fsb wall was still 423 no mater what voltage (tried VMCH all the way up to 1.9V) i got another retail e6600 week 24 today which does no problem 440fsb..
So i think ppl that are hitting a wall with fsb its the cpu thats holding u back not the mobo...

well thats just my 2cents...so dont hit me

here is the new cpu doing really well for a retail me thinks

Vcore:1.65V
VMCH: 1.75V
Vfsb 1.5V

Proud to run this clock for everyday use... Voltage set a bit above 1.5V in BIOS.

Using ORTHOS... SP2004 but multithreaded. Look at the taskmanager and take a look at the ORTHOS screen...

Hey guys,

just got my oem 6600 from tigerdirect.com, but won't get a chance to build my system until next week. It's going to be a 6/b2 as it was just released with the rest of the masses. The cpu markings are SL9S8 and L625A376. anyone know anything of the overclocking performance of this cpu?
I know it's not a 5/B1/ES, but you can't even get that on ebay, just B0's. Going to cool it with an Evercool Silver Knight.

this is the max I`m getting out of the e6600 retail and ds3 .

9 x 420 mhz stable with gaming and everything with 1.6 V Vcore, and +0.3 Vmch,, +0.4 V Vdim. Cooled with ninja, temp stressed is 50c. used memset for the "ultimate latancy"

All on air

and silent

I just received an E6600 week 27. I haven't seen anyone else mention a week 27.

Right now I am stable at 3.4 Ghz, 801 BIOS, air cooled, all stock settings.

I didn't take any pics prior to the install. My temops at 3.4 Ghz were low 40's C. I now have her up to 3.6 Ghz after increasing VCore to 1.565V but my CPU temps are now approx 60 degrees C.

That's too much for me, about to crank it back down. What do most folks feel is a safe CPU temp???

My bad...I was at 3.2 stock and 3.6 @ 1.565.

I'm still tring to find peak settings that will keep my CPU below 55 degrees C. I just tried 3.6 at 1.465VCore and 1.65V MCHV. This did keep my CPU at 55 max, but it failed Prime after 1.5 hours.

I may not get 3.6 Ghz out of this one.

Anyone using 965p-DS3? Since everyone's saying it's hard to oc E6600 to 3.6, have you guys tried lowering the multi to x8 to get 3.2? Is it possible with 965p-ds3? I know the asus board can do it in BIOS. I think the CAM feature only sets it to 6x. Has anyone tried 6*400 in bios and then raise the multi to 8using CrystalCPUID in Windows?

wow.. almost the same as mine.. it's an SL9S8 L625A404 (L625 = week 25 A404 = code, I guess?).. just waiting for the DFI nf590 sli board now.. like a lot of other peeps. lol.
