There is benefit from overclocking ECC ram . You can clock higher because of the error correction . Articles in google say that there is a slow down when ECC tries to correct errors (2% approx) , but i haven't seen any slowdown myself .
I have 3 pairs of D9DQT (Fatbody) and all of them can clock about 15-20Mhz DDR2 higher when ECC is enabled . I run always with ECC enabled .
If i need the faster running memory (More Mhz) , i can have it without problems when enabling the error correction . Of course the benefit from clocking CPU higher is more than the "supposed" slow down of the ECC .

    Hello Pt1t,

I have two dimms of D9DCN but I don't find how to activate the ECC in the bios of the P5W DH. I have the 701 bios.

Does somebody know how to do ?

    Thanks

Pt1t - nice job in testing out the board. One more choice of a possibly low priced performance oriented board. Any idea what sort of caps they are using on the board? I believe in good caps == long lasting reliable board.

    Thanks in advance.
