Unplug your USB devices and see if you can overclock higher.
Holy crap that guy went from 290fsb to 510 just by unplugging USB devices? WTF. I'm at work until 6pm PST and i'll try this. Even so that is a crappy solution because i don't even have a ps2 mouse i can use.

He mentioned that he removed them from teh back, but has the front USB to mainboard still in use?

All USB devices were unplugged, including the extra header on the motherboard. Also, please note that he dropped down to 512MB of RAM to hit 500+.

The highest I've seen on mine is around 49 C under full load, at 2.8 GHz (E6300).

    GA-965P-DS3 F3 BIOS, E6300 OEM (TigerDirect) Stepping 6, OCZ EL Gold 2x1 GB 5-5-5-15 2.0 volts 800 MHz

All stock voltages (except ram, but thats specced at 2.0 volts):

What is Temp3 = -1C? I have that too. I'm thinking it's my ATI video card mis reporting.

I can't keep finger for more than 1 second there, so be warned!
If they are not hot try increasing vcore to 1.5-1.55V and run prime or any other stress test.

Ok i see 12 voltage regulators. I thought there was only 8, 12 for the DQ6. I already bought them microcool mosfet sinks, so do i need to put on all 12 or only 8 of them are the actual regulators for the cpu?

    I tried 101 PCI-E so far

But strange thing I have fsb wall at 497fsb no matter what multi/vmch/vfsb/vdimm or ram timings (corsair UL) I can hit that with only +.1V vmch but +.3 won't help.

I have dice container for chipset and in a few days I will see if it helps a lot or not. Anyway I think I need to mod vmch

I can just barely hit 500fsb with mine
    mch and fsb at +0.3v
vcore stock and just pushed up using easytune
locked up when I tried to run 4M

5-5-5-12 comes up weird so not sure if it's actually running that
maybe I should test ram first to see how far I can get

Dang, and I can't even get past 2.8Ghz with my retail E6600 with an Ultra-120.

Wow, I hope either something is wrong or it's a dud, retail steppings can't be that bad.

Managed to get an extra 4 Mhz FSB Prime stable by disabling Legacy USB support in the BIOS.....

It might go higher, but i'm gonna prime for another hour or so to make sure it's stable. 1.375v set in BIOS. Droops to like 1.32.

I run dual-Prime with large FFTs for at least 8 hours. I wish OCCT were dual-core friendly. I prefer using it over Prime. It finds errors in a fraction of the time
