Insane time there! Very very good. Do you got both Asus's at home? Could you compare the N/B's with eachother and see if there's any difference?

    @nicke
Other board reached 397 fsb @1.65 vmch same settings and hardware.
so it look's like you must have a little bit of luck with the board, this second one reached 434fsb @ 1.50vmch

    edit:
got nothing too do with bios versions, the nb chip clock's or doesn't , buy the board and prey it clock's good..

    OMG

I'm simply awestruck by that. It's beyond my comprehension that he can achieve such a low time at such low clocks. And that looks like only 2x512 too!

Seems like no matter how far the rest of us push the envelope, we will always have something to learn from Team Japan...they truly are the leaders in this art IMHO.

Can you see any physical differences on both boards? Like bad soldering or something like that. All parts should be the same, so theoretical there can't be any difference. Unless something is connected in a bad way.

thats absolute rubbish and you know it.
    why even say that ?

thats like trying to say everyone who buys an Opti 165 should be running 3.2ghz on air w/ 1.5v just because one guy did it.
tehcnically they are the same cpu,, made at the same factory and maybe even made on the same day.

just cuz you have 2 identicle pieces of hardware doesnt mean anything. it means absolutely nothing.
each piece of hardware is different no matter what. each is different.

On one board im duel prime stable for at least 5 hours @ 410 FSB, it wont even boot at 415.

The other board I have seemed stable at 450, i never even tried more,

Im thinking of keeping the board that does 450+ FSB even though its got a dud primary PCI-E slot as Im only using one gfx card for a while. Asus boards have a 3 year warranty though their website says thats with the reseller . Anyone know about this ?

Im thinking of keeping it until a DFI lanparty comes out later this year.

if it does 450 and you aint modded it.. man you would be insane to get rid of it

and it has a dud pci-e ? what do you mean a dud ?
does your video card not work in it ?
because. i might be wrong.. but reading thru my manual and of course with all xfire/sli boards the primary slot is the one next to the cpu.

this baord may not work if you put it into the 2nd slot.. i doubt thats true but it is possible.

also notice there is a jumper thats been removed on the motherboard right above the primary pci-e slot that says 'GPU Select' odd.... i wonder if that needs to be there to run the video card in the 2nd slot ???

it is possible, although unlikely that if you have a bad slot the extra power and chipset cycles could now be directed at the NB allowing a higher FSB.9yes i know an unused pci/pci-e slot is not using anything, its just a thought :\ )

so explain the dud comment and which slot do you have the card in ?

I think there might be something like a different revs or something on the N/B but seems like no one confirmed that there is different N/B revs or something similar.

on both boards , no matter what the voltage is you can boot at max 413fsb
use setfsb in windows for higher speeds

the board who suck's didn't even post above that @2.06v.

    knowledge:

if you gonna mod the board and ajust above 1.93v vmch the board will boot
but the pci-e vid won't work, put a pci vid instead in the slot above the bios chip, others won't work or give's slow boot and bios.

    @bennah
room temp was 20dgC, and i wil try to post some pic

When I was looking for something called "reserved" I was booting the board up with 467FSB

That required changing the tRCD latency from 3 to 4.

That was done with 1.86V VMCH and Swiftech MCX-159R on the NB.

Maximum SuperPI 8M stable fsb so far is ~460FSB with 1:1 divider.
    That with Corsair 2GB 6400C3 / 3-3-3-1-4-15.6µs (tRAS - tRC - tREF).

With 4:3 divider and more loose latencies the board is benchable at 480FSB.
