the bios 1304 is great
I'm dual prime @ 3600mhz, 50% OC, 1.325v, 1.395/1.725...all from bios settings
430fsb is usually the max with an unmodded board ?

with mch/fsb volts you need to max them out for 400fsb dual prime ? i'm still using default volts for mch/fsb ..Originally Posted by Supertim0r

Did you have to do the pen mod to unlock the oc options on bios 1304 ?Originally Posted by Supertim0r

How many volts are you pushing for vcore to achieve that temp? Doesn't sound right to me unless your are overvolting the hell out of it.Originally Posted by Supertim0r
On a sidenote, has anyone reported odd heatspreaders on these chips (like not completely flat) similar to what happened to some of the 9xx series chips I think?

My results also indicate 15-20 C too high.
Vcore readings are also off for me.
E6600 QPGE Step 5/B1 / Intel D975XBX Badaxe rev304 temperatures
Well here's some temperature readings but not sure which is right. Most badaxes owners say bios temps are +10C higher than reality.
@9x266fsb = 2400mhz stock vcore 1.242v
Room temp = 24.8C right now
Bios cpu temp = 30-31C
Windows Idle = 27C/25C for core#1/core#2 most of the time but fluctuates by +3C for both cores at times.

Windows Load (dual stressprime) = 37C/37C for core#1/core#2

Will do oc'd temps later![]()

Does 1333fsb strap really loose this much efficiency for super pi compared to 1067fsb strap ?
At 1067fsb strap with 3443mhz 9x382fsb with 2x256MB Centon @382mhz 4-4-3-15 managed 15min 41s
But now @1333fsb strap with 2x512MB OCZ PC5400 Plat XTC

mch = 1.725v
fsb bolt = 1.395v
vdimm = 2.2v

First single vs dual Super Pi 32M run
@3809Mhz (9x423fsb) and ram @423mhz 4-4-4-8
vcore = 1.441v
mch = 1.725v
fsb bolt = 1.395v
vdimm = 2.2v
Single 32M = 15min 05.484s
Dual 32M = 18min 10.734s / 18min 09.438s

Nice job.
Is that a new bracket for your storm? Or does the original one work w/ conroe ?
conroe = LGA775 so same mounting as other LGA775 cpus![]()

Here's another dual 32M, nice setup eva![]()

I'm testing about the same setup at 3.66 GHz.
Storm fits fine with no trouble.
Superpi 1x: 13:38.27 818.27 sec
Superpi 2x: 18:45.26 1125.26 sec + 18:45.26 1125.26 sec
Under Linux 64 bits, so I lack CPUz. I honestly don't know what RAM speed I am on![]()
