How good is Conroe benching 64bit optimized code?
This is a future CPU that might have to run under 64bit Windows Vista with lots of memory.

Or does "nothing changed" mean stock clocks, if so, my bad. Otherwise, you should get a nice boost in nature with the card clocked up a bit.

    whooo! Crossfire! I can't wait!

I'm heading out to pickup/buy sin0822's Chilly1 SS as soon as I finish up here at work (lol probably shouldn't be on here then). I can't wait to put my future Conroe under DI with my future X1900 under the phase.

    IDK....

    Score right below:

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1888684

    Opty @ 2.9 and XTX @ 732/877 (clocked higher than FCG's)

    Score right above:

    http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dm05=1961623

    X2 @ 2.95 and XTX @ 751/841 (clocked higher than FCG's)

Both of these have higher GPU clocks than FCG and running at 2.9+ on the CPU and scoring about the same.

    Regardless, its fast

Guys remember 2.6Ghz is not the limit. It can go higher...alot higher if u ask me ^__^

    Its the motherboards fault...

For the guy who posted the links I would just like to say look at how much a Opty 170 cost.

The second link you posted was with Watercooled.

Just stating not bullying u so relax ^__^

    CPU: Intel 2.13Ghz 4MB L2 "Conroe" ES (dual core) @ 8 x 333Mhz = 2.66Ghz stock volts (~1.15v real)
CPU Cooling: stock aircooling Intel aluminum heatsink
    DDR2: Mushkin PC-4200 @ 3-2-2-10 (~2.2v) - 2x512MB
Video: ATI X1900XTX Crossfire @ 684/738 (stock aircooling)
MB: Intel D975XBX "Bad Axe" stock w/BIOS 0807
OS: Windows XP Pro SP2 (absolutely NO tweaks)

EDIT: Please note that the GPU/mem clocks in the SS are wrong, those are for the XTX card, the CF cards speeds are above.

Well, I wasn't looking at price performance ratio or overclock potential, just trying to compare 3D clock for clock comparison.

But I completely agree with you, if an E6600 can do 3Ghz on air, which I hope it can , it will be out of control for a ~$300 chip.

Just out of curiosity but is anything holding you back from clocking that E6400 ES any higher?

    Respectable score for sure though

perhaps 333 is the FSB limit for this mobo, kinda would make sense being as Intel ain't exactly looking to get everyone overclockign their own boards.

That's a sick score Kris....everything comparable on the ORB is at 3+ GHz (or 6+ GHz for the sole netburst) and on higher clocked cards. To think that this board isn't nearly as CF friendly as the RD580 boards are either

...and on stock cooling and volts to boot, just damn.

Time to load up IDK and see if you can go +12.6% on that 333fsb to get to 3.0G (I think I got that right). Good luck with your fun over there.
