the reason presler hits 4G on air might have something to do with with heat and power requirements

Well, netburst didn't work out as intended, TDP was high even at 65nm. I hope and believe that most 2.4-2.66GHz++ Conroes will do at least 3.5-3.6GHz on air. We'll see said the blind to the deaf.

And BTW: does it make sense that Presler maxed out at 3.8GHz (std. speed) and Conroe's temperarily max is 3.0/3.3GHz? It makes one wonder..

Are you serous?, thats relly insane.

HC, did not mean to hijack your thread.

In the first image I see one obvious difference in that chip and it is not an ES chip from the CPUID string posted in everest. if it were an ES Merom or Conroe it would have @ 000 and it does say "ES = no"

That might be a very early retail 3Ghz 333FSB chip.

Fugger I know you cant say much, which is sad. But is there any way you could tell us whether this board is currently on the market or not?

I wish you luck and Hicookie thanks for the results, they look awesome. I am trying to hold out until Woodcrest Xeon for my CAD/Photoshop/Main work rig and for a couple servers at work. This is awesome because I waited and am now being rewarded. WHOOOO

Oh sorry, didn't read properly and I still can't see it, or do you refer to your cpu-z shoot? Thought this was Xeon and not Conroe?
