    Hi everybody here at XS.

If the Multi is locked i think there is no need for LN2 or a Cascade.
13x266 = 3458MHz if the Board can handle 266 FSB. Water or a single stage should be enough to reach this. Remember the 3GHz benches with stock Aircooler on Hardwareluxx Forums.

I think we need support for the Rtm865-461 Clockgen on the AOpen Board to break the limit of 266MHz FSB in BIOS.
Maybe a BIOS Mod could do this too.

ES cpus have always only a range of multis available - the highest the being the default multi to achieve stock spec clock. It's only the down multis that you get extra. Only EE cpus are all open

TRUE Amd ES cpu's have unlocked everythings They have NO markings on the IHS and probably are only identified by numbers or default boot settings. FX series cpu's are unlocked up and down from x4 to x?? (I don't think I've ever seen a FX @ higher than x20). There are certain EE ES Intels that have up to x60 multi unlocked

yep - Extreme Editions are open up to 60 - not that anyone needs anything above 25... - no matter if it is ES or retail

They unlock to somewhere around 25, CPUz just says 60 but I couldn't get my ES 955EE to boot at above 25x. It would just revert to 13x. But like you said, not that anyone would need it, unless they want some uber-bandwidth-starved EE ('cause lower FSB). I just tried higher multis 'cause they seem to clock higher with lower multis (chipset problem) and found the sweet spot to be 15-17, 14 would work good after an upgrade of the northbridge cooler.

ECS seems more enthusiastic with their P23 than Aopen.
I hope they will release some samples for us soon

Is there already a release date for PF23?

I have ordered Aopen because it's the first one on the Market here.
But I think I also throw a look on ECS.

    Mine arrived today...

    Thanks FCG...
When Mercedes brought their C111 to Talledega years ago and blew away the closed course record did it count? Yes..
That was a "factory" car and a "one of" that no one could buy and was never sold.
Records are records and that is a fact so get over it.

Asus should have a ATX motherboard targeted for enthusiast. As far as I know it should be placed on the other side of their mATX 945 at Cebit. The ATX motherboard should be with 975X.

Why does noone talk about this board? is should have been public for everyone at Cebit.

DFI announced on Cebit that they are planning a i975 mobo for core duo.
But no pictures or specs right now.

Maybe there is a third force for CoreDuo.
