I got bored and decided to throw my new setup together ahead of schedule, substituting the new RAM, HDD's and gfx with 2*512MB Kingston HyperX BH-5, an old 15GB Maxtor, and an old Hercules Stingray 128, respectively. Here is what I got with absolutely no effort. I'm not really that knowledgable with A64 OC'ing, so feel free to give me some tips. It's not quite stable, but I'd think it would be stable for daily use, maybe not intensive apps.

    Hi,

I thought your meant to supply stability screens, thats just a CPU-z screenshot and doesn't show much really?

How about 12 hours of quad-prime?

Ok, managed to get a bit further with slightly more vcore Do note that I'm not even using the dualcore heatpipe stock cooler, merely the crappy non-heatpipe version. Although I do have an 80mm focused Delta running at 7v on it...

PS:// Nice chip. My 0530TPMW can't do that high, only 2.7GHz @ 1.39v on XP-120. Yours on water?
Ah, do you have a link to that version of CPU-Z? I might google it myself but I'm at work right now so no point in downloading it.

I am running water on 3/4" Outer Diameter and 1/2" ID tubing. I don't think the AS5 has had enough time to cure. I've barely found time to play on the new system for any longer than 10 hours a week.

Getting 0550 UPMW, should I try for 0550 VPMW instead?

I have an Opteron 170 0550 UPMW on order.

By the way, www.max2.net here in Canada has them in stock.

The question is, is it worth passing it up and trying to get a 0550 VPMW or should I just be happy with this one and chill out?

What was strange was that Monarch was having this week in late December where a lot of people where getting 0530. There was a thread on here not long ago about the Opty 170 and everyone that ordered around 12/20-12/30 recieved 0530 from Monarch. I ordered mine on 12/21.

Very nice results. I've hit a wall with 2.9. I can't prime any longer than 5 seconds on Core 1.
