I bet you Nvidia is already perfecting drivers for the G71 right now, that seems to be the difference between them and ATI. They seem to release cards and hope for the best. Im not sure if its User complaints thats inspire better drivers, or actual lab testing. Its more of a software race for 20k in 3d05 then HW. I think ATI will take the crown before the G71, we just need need to wait for better drivers.

a lousy 12% gain in performance in 3d05 if your lucky enough to have a duel core cpu such as the fx-60
this lousy gain comes from the fact that 3DMark05 at default resolution is nearly completely CPU bound benchmark with CF. Its not because CF is "more CPU hungry" its because X1900CF has so much video speed that the CPU can't keep up with it at the default resolution.

So 3DMark05 with stock X1900CF and stock FX60 is basically just showing how fast the FX60 can run 3DMark05. If you overclock the X1900CF you dont see the score go up since its all CPU bound!

If you run 3DMark05 at some more relevant resolution such as 1600x1200 w/ 4AA and 8AF you see around 55%-60% improvement when you go from single X1900XTX to X1900 CF.

Yeah the x1900's are monsters. You put in crossfire and you really need to crank up the quality settings to feel the difference.

Looks like Kingpin improved his GeForce 7800 GTX 512 MB SLI score to 19351 but tomorrow there will be a new score on #1 spot in 3DMark05. Stay tuned, I'll upload some pics also

Just bought myself an x1900xt and flashed it to an XTX. Wondering what the max voltage on stock cooling would be?

    Thanks in advance guys!

Thanks, I've been using this CPU tube since year 2001 and Athlon 1333 MHz:

Back then the fastening method was little bit different:

Nice work Sampsa. I guess the dongle still helps with RD580? I heard 580 would completely remove the dongle, but I guess not.
