    I would like to know if it is the crappy memory controller on mine or what!

    So, I'm new to steppings and stuff, but I'm looking to get a 3700+ that'll clock well.. A local shop has

    KAB3E 0546GPAW

    Will this one be any good? I thought I'd read that the 0547's were the best, and the the 46's were sketchy..

    Should I wait and see what steppings the competing store gets in?

    The screenies were not mine, obviously.

    They were taken by Brutalmod's guy. He has not much idea of taking decent screenies.

    My purpose is testing his 11 3700+ (previously tested by him by air) under vapochill LS and see the results.

    I have 2 0547GPMW's with TCCD. They do without a problem 10x 300 both prime stable on cas2.5-4-3-6.

    Yep got one from work to try and it was a no go , struggled to stay stable even at 2.8 gig 3 gig would boot windows then shut down again, tried all sorts of combinations and ram and timings we are getting more in so ill grab another to try, gotta love trying chips for free
    Current Machine is my trusty Dell 8200 Lappy , while i make a decision

    Hey SIOUX - my most crazy danish OCing friend , U just made me lookin' for one of these 0547GPMWs...., running an OPTERON 146 here at 3.150 with 1,520 volts on water and feeling like a N_O_O_B...........

    This KAB3E 0547 GPMW is definately the new kid in town!!

    Most are even better than the best Opteron steppings, i've seen a couple on a German forum doing 3.2GHz+ Prime stable for hours at just a notch over 1.5V on watercooling!

    Soon as i manage to track one down this Opty will go. (3.06GHz Prime stable @1.5V watercooled)

    My bad - I see. But the mentioned stepping should be the best for 3700+.

    The 146 Opty I'm using now is a 0546GPAW - not bad, doin' 3.15 at 1.520 volts.
