Bigtoe I just found out on another forum that dfi is not going to fix the issue with using higher than 113% on the nf4 boards. Do you know what caused the problem? If so is there any way that you can fix the issue?

    UPDATE.
I found what the issue is and I was hoping you might be able to fix it since dfi is not going to and with my x2 this bios is only one that runs good with my system. The problem is stated here in post 32:
    http://www.dfi-street.com/forum/show...=wrong+voltage

"The bug of 7/04 bios is this bios will program "CPU VID Special Control" first
before setting protection to cpu voltage ...

If you set "CPU VID" to a high voltage , EX : 1.55V then change to a low " CPU
VID " and a high " CPU VID Special Control " in the same time , hit the save and exit ...
Before the bios set the " CPU VID " to low voltage , the "CPU VID Special Control"
will be programmed first without protection and may generate some core voltage
like 1.55V * 1.36... Although it's a very short period , but If the cpu can not
handle this voltage , the cpu will be dead ... Especially 90nm core cpu ..."

    Hi!

I'm sure u guys can help me!
I can't add any voltage to my RAM, so it I can't run my CPU @ it's rated frequency.
So my question is: Can u (Mr. Bigtoe) make change my BIOS so I can adjust memory voltage???
    Here's the BIOS file -> http://www.asrock.com/support/bios/845D_P1.50.zip

    THX in advance!

My P4C800 E Deluxe Bios offers me a range of 1.3750v to 1.9500v!? This is version 1023 from Asus site. I can't see it being like this for me just because I have had a 2.8 Northwood in earlier. The Bios has been reset several times whilst trying to OC my new 3.2 Prescott. Shes running 255 fsb (4.07Ghz) at 1.55v and is Prime Stable. Air cooled using T.R. XP120 with 1400rpm vantec 120mm fan, Idle Temp @ 38/39DegC, max load Temp 49/50DegC

To be honest, I'd refrain from going much over 1.550 anyway, unless you are Phase Changing to get the heat away. CPU migration starts happening at silly voltages & 1.75v was the max to be safe on the Northwoods. Allowing for a 0.2v over stock to be safe, then 1.55v would be the safe limit for the Prescott, though there may be more headroom with the smaller Die Size!

Maybe re-flashig your Bios would resolve your querey. Good Luck!

I have the same bios like you, presscot 3,4 ghz, drop 14x the multy and 285 fsb geil ultra x 2.5 4 4 8 4 clocks 2.65v, stable at 1,600 v, that it´s the limit in this motherboard to this prescott, i can put 1,625 ando more, but the mobo do not starts, because the limit that have this mobos and bios on prescott, the refrigeration it´s medium - good zalman 9500, and the case good refrigerated with silentxs 12 cm, also the chipset, i think that it´s possible to modify the bios instead of doing the v mod to the mobo, is it possible by bios???, how can i´ll do it??, thanks

I'm guessing you can't do sweet FA about it. A close friend of mine has a 3.4 & he can change the Multiplier to 14 on his. Not sure what his voltage selections are, but my 3.2 Prescott is LOCKED at 16 multiplier with no other choice. So, one could assume (even though assumption is the mother of all fuc* up's) that the 3.4 Prescott has something different about it's architecture compared with its lesser siblings. Having said that, my m8s 3.4 will do 4Ghz @ X17 multipler with 235 fsb. Yet when he drops the Multiplier to 14, it will not do ANYTHING over 250 fsb which sets the CPU @ 3.5Ghz? Now that is really wierd and using the mother of all fuc*ups again, one can only "assume" the Chip is falling over on its CORE speed & not the FSB. A lot of people refer to the Core Speed of the chip as the FSB. This is not true. The Core speed of the CPU is NOT the FSB. The Core speed of the CPU is the resultant speed determined by the FSB of the chipset.
On a brighter note though, you are very lucky to get 285fsb compared to my m8's CPU which he can only get 250fsb with, at a 14X multiplier. My 3.2 does 256FSB at 16X which slaps this baby at exactly 4.1Ghz, on Air! Not happy at chucking 1.55V at it tbh, but then hopefully, Hipro5's MAXIMISER will stop the Vcore Droop & give me a little more! Whilst shouting here, I got 2 x 1Gb PC 3200 ram running at 256FSB 1:1 with 2.75V & 3-3-7 timings at CAS 3. That is just bloody awesome considering I paid £40.00 a stick brand new!
Even if you ran the bios through a Bios Editor, I'm not sure that there would be ANY voltages available over 1.65v because the 3.4 core appears to be very different from the slower Prescotts. As I said earlier, unless you are using some serious Phase exchange cooling, FORGET using more than 1.55 volts anyway as you are probably going to burn out the CPU.
EDIT* Your English is far better than my Spanish, as I dont know any Spanish at all. I hope you can understand what I have tried to explain to you here & I'm poking you with a Stick to listen SERIOUSLY about OVER-VOLTING the Prescott. Its a very HOT Core by default, untill you hit the the J series of Socket 775 CPU's. Please be vey carefull or it will all end in tears & a Dead CPU.

I'm looking for a modded bios for epox 8npa7i. It's said that i can give up to +0,35V for CPU but in fact i can only give +0,15V :| My CPU needs higher Vcore to go up but all i can give is 1,55V...

Those features are not supported by hardware.
    Use the multimeter instead.

I want to modify my bios for a MS6702 K8 motherboard. AMIBCP 225beta will not open any bios for the board. MMTool opens the bioses, but I have no idea how to change things. Is there a guide for MMTool?

I found a AMIBCP 2.43.2.0. It still won't open the bios, but now it says that a "language module" isn't with the bios.

    Hello everyone.
Just read through this entire thread (quite a read) and am trying to get my hands on some modded bios's for the IC7-MAX3, but all the links posted in this thread seem to be dead.
Does anyone have the latest/best modded bios or links to them for the IC7-Max3?
And if so... could you list them/send them to me?
I will provide email upon request via PM etc...

    Thanks in advance.

Could someone please help me with the BIOS for the Asrock P4DUAL-915GL. All I want is some vcore/cpu voltage adjustment. The BIOS doesn't seem to have any hidden options, so I was pretty stuck. Thanks in advance.

    Bigtoe,

Any chance of unlocking the hidden menu's in the gigabyte GA-K8NS???? (rathern than having to hit ctrl-F1 or something like that. i never remember)
Also maybe unlocking some voltage options. It's a good board, but more vdimm/vcore would be nice.

    Cheers!

My mb is a gigabyte ga-7n400pro2rev2. I mod the last ufficial bios updating the ide raid and the sata last bios and unbloking the hidden menu. I can send it to anyone who is interessed or who can post it somewhere.
Now I'm interesting to other modding but I'm not able to...
in particular I'm interesting to unblock the multiplier, permit 16 timing to PCI device, and any other for best performance. I found this thread: http://www.hwupgrade.it/forum/showt...threadid=785101
in which i found modded bios for the ga-7n400pro2rev1, but it is not compatible with the mine... (sure? perhaps i can only update the sata bios? but it's only an f6, the offical last is f11) and I would replace in my bios the same modifies. can anyone help me?
in this other link http://www.xtremeresources.com/forum...ad.php?t=34627 I found a Silicon 3512 modded bois, but the download is break. has anyone downloaded it? or anyone know a miror?

    thanks a lot
