The new "Site Supporter" group with benefits is a great idea. :up: :clap:

That's how OCW implemented their site donation plan in 07, it has worked well for the user population as a whole, not created an elitist mentality, and brought in some good income for the site to support operating expenses.

one thing that ocw has done since it's implementation, is provide a list of donors as a recognition of support, plus it helps users that donate every year remember if they've sent their annual donation in yet this year.

Was traveling yesterday and then basically crashed when I got home...getting to all the new guys and giving them the red title if they haven't already given themselves a custom title :)

Good idea. :up: That would help people with membership in non-standard groups display their commitment and still be able to set custom text. We can do that now but have to bother an admin. I'm sure that is going to get old after a while.

Its the way vbulletin works or something. He can set it back to red for you with your title. Just don't change your title a billion times asking him each time to make it red :p: :D

Is the only option to support a "Subscription" now or are you still taking singular donations? The only option that comes up is the annual subscription with an agreement to re-up after a year.

I'd appreciate a PM with the donation Paypal addy from one of the staff members.
