Certainly brave, but may not be that impossible. As the P4P800's /SEs have scaled 290MHz with stock, or little voltage bumpQuote:

mibo No. Only timming settings in bios. We can OC it onlt by ClockGen (ICS 950405)/i865 Tweaker. Russian overclocker got only 300+ fsb and anotherone only 283 fsb.
P.S. This mobo doesn`t support x6800, only e6x00
the GA-965P-S3 also is only 3-phase... the foxconn P9657AA-8EKRS2H has also 3 phase and can hit about 413 MHz FSB.Quote:

this will be interesting lol..that is one tiny board tho
any updates?
support e4300?
id really like to see geForce 256 + kentsfield
now..that would be gfx limited on a whole new level ;)
bump? :D
Reaching 333MHZ FSB stable is pretty hard for the i865 chipset.
I've only managed to get 310MHz max out of it (just pencil mod on chipset though) on the Asrock Conroe865PE that I owned once (300FSB set in bios), though I hadn't tried fitting a better heatsink on the chipset and upping the chipset voltage. :D
BSEL mods didn't work on that Asrock board mind you although that didn't effect the overclocking one bit.
Well, since P5PE-VM doesn't have any overclocking settings on Bios, I'm doing BSEL mod 1066 and see how it handles it. Shouldn't be a problem, since the mobo supports 1066 C2D... just waiting until conductive paint dries... I'll post news when its working...or not working...
Oh yeah baby! Its working like a charm :D
Now this is pushing it, but maybe possible 1333?
Pitty is the 3:2 divider on the mem... nothing that clockgen cant manage :D
YAIKS! Something really weird happened!
I overclocked to 1333 fsb using clockgen in windows, working fine.
Rebooted the machine, and take a look at the bios now?!
I shutdown the rig and boot up again, and now its back to 1066. Does this mean that I can BSEL to 1333 on this motherboard?
Looks light it might, and even if it doesnt clockgen works fine ;)
I think I need one of these boards, my ASRock 775Dual-VSTA craps out at 305... 'though I havent done any mods to it yet.
You might not beeing able to get that, depends if you use SATA disks or not. Remember, there's no pci/agp lock, so you will be dependent on how stable your HDD are in overclock too :( I left yesterday my rig testing @ 1333 fsb and it didn't hold on for long... anyway, I am able to run totally stable @ 1200fsb with CPC ON and PAT ON on the memories, so I'm quite happy :)
lol nice thread. and good job asus for releasing updates on such old bioses! this is 865g too eh. real impressive.
865/875 were the best chipsets ever, still going strong after all these years...
we need a unlocked chip on these and some R9800 benching, if i had the unlocked chip i would already be on it with my BH-5 i have here. :)
From what I've heard the Asrock Conroe 865PE has bios overclocking options although quite limited... It would be nice to see if any of them can handle a higher multi on a x6800 ;) ...
It would make a great AGP benching rig!
