Not much is known about the MAG yet.
I suspect 2 of them in series will perform nice too.
I am still confused. I want something that is powerful (size is not a big issue, as the case is the Mountain Mods U2-UFO), and if at all possible a DC pump. It will be all 1/2" ID, and it will be running a DD TDX CPU WB, DD Brass MAZE4 GPU, Weapon 2-302 w/Shroud.
I was considering two MCP655, but people said that it would be too much for the 2-302.
As I said, I want something that can run off of my 600watt OCZ powerstream. I am going back to study the recomendations that the whole point of this thread is, but I can't make head nor tails of what is good. I wish there was a table, for DC pumps, and AC pumps, and which was best overall. Just a suggestion.

The Iwaki RD-30 and Panworld 20PI-Z-D are both very powerful, not very large and DC; however especially the RD-30 would be too expensive and you still won't be able to run them off your power supply (24VDC).Quote:

As a sidenote, should you somehow find the heat dump to be too much after all, just use the speed adjustment dial on the back.
And yes, AFAIK all other ''extreme pumps'' use AC.

The dual MCP655's can be adjusted with their speed dials, however I think you'll end up losing more of the flow/pressure than you will heat from these pumps by adjusting them.
Just get one, you seriously won't notice the difference getting the second and it could actually raise your temps...so why would you wanna pay for that?

I also have a few MD-20, a few MD-30, 2 MD-40 and 1 MD-70
Those small MD-10 are sexy :p:

md-10 is a nice pump but its incredibly underpowered. it has less power than a mcp650, 655 or AQX50Z, or DDC.

honestly i dont remember. personally i wouldnt purchase a used mcp600. just not worth any risk. especially considering the pump is most likely about half way through its life span it would not be wise to pay more than 35USD for one.
Was thinking about buying a brand new one for $43; lost the auction while I was asleep and I've got a 50Z anyway so it doesn't really matter.
Do you think it's useful to get an MD-10K? I've already got an MD-15R and MD-20R but I can get it cheap and the heatdump is probably less than we suspected; I think it's performance might be close to that of an Eheim 1048.
well ehiem 1048 power is not very useful imo.. a TAD bit too weak.. if the deal is good enough im sure u can find some use for it but why?

If I don't like it, I can easily sell it for twice the price I bought it anyway: you can find these pumps brand new on ebay.com for roughly $25 (add $20 shipping for me), while they often cost more than €200 here in Europe.
The MD10's, what's their heat dump like? Lower than 50z? What's their performance specs? Also lower than 50z?
heat dump is higher than a 50z most likely (dont quote me on that as its just a wild guess) and their perforamnce numbers are about half... md15 is alot like a 50z
I think the MD10 dumps around the same wattage as the 50Z (Iwaki claims ~6W), while having a slightly higher peak flow (12LPM vs 10LPM) but has a significantly lower max pressure (5.2PSI vs 3PSI).Quote:

teh 50Z is just about dead silent when put on a neoprene pad or some carpet so id be hardpressed to agree with the quieter statement. more reliable no doubt.. the iwaki is the most reliable pump in my knowledge.. but with that said the pressure it outputs is patheticly low for our needs. its great for a low flow system that isnt very restrictive.. mcw6002 and a maze4 gpu with a heatercore.. it wouldnt get great flowrates but it would do well enough.
