LOL, that will do nicely :D
I have new problem: http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/8...0455sc1.th.jpg
Do you think waranty will be OK? I'm thinking about new motherboard and I found Asus P5K Deluxe/WiFi-AP Wold you recomended somethink else?
Yes I'm going to blame stock cooler (fortunatly I have two neightboars with this mobo, so I'm going to get his headpipe coller- my was a little bit moded)
About CF- if I will be lucky I will get another 2900 XT on test, so CF wouldn't be bad:D
I thought this was the right place to ask...is the ek-wave acetal for amd 939-940-am2 any good in cooling my 939 opteron 175? And maybe later on some quad cores made by Intel or Amd i dont't know yet since it's not upgrade time.
It'll do the thing for your Opteron. But might want to look at the FuZion of Apogee GTX if you plan on getting a Quad core later.
Its just that the EK is cheaper than the gtx. And the swiftech is out of stock here in Finland. Maybe i should be more patient and wait for the gtx.
I see. Well, then the GTX will do the thing!
I just ordered the Apogee Gt...did i make huge mistake? I currently have opteron 175 and when asked from the store they didn't have the socket 939 retainer plates for gtx available. Plus the AL top in the gtx.
From what i have heard, the difference (performance wise) between the GT and the GTX is about 1c.
Thank's for the quick reply. 'Wipes the panic sweat from the forehead'
Does anyone recall the think rads that were available last year? There was some sort of controversy on it's performance but I was still keen on them because they were very think in comparison to the recommend rads at the beginning of the topic discussion?:
Never mind, they were the Black Ice Stealths :)
:google:
the bolt-thru kit backplate works, but is not ideal.
I think if you are going to use a thermalright backplate, you want to use the one here: Thermalright LGA775 RM http://www.thermalright.com/a_page/m...ion_lga775.htm
the problem with the one linked is that it is designed for screwing into from above, not screwing through the bottom as we do with watercooling blocks.
the threaded bolts could leave the backplate to not sit flush.
the one I linked, the backplate is the one provided with the xp-120.
could be purchased here: http://www.performance-pcs.com/catal...oducts_id=2395
don't forget ek blocks

Has anyone used XSPC rads? E.g. like this... How do they perform comparing to MCR320?
I'm looking for a good rad to replace my poor Thermaltake's one, but can't find MCR320 in stock :( Is this XSPC RS360 good enough? or should I better wait for the last one to be available?
Good info to know , thx
I have a question concerning water additives. For biocide I'll be using PT-Nuke in my loop. The thing is that I want some color in it too, so my question is, does anyone have long term experience with Pentosin G11/G12? Not only concerning color stability, but I'm wondering also if this stuff turns into goo after months in a loop? Does it leave any residue? If so, could anyone recommend another type of dye?
I found this PC-ICE stuff, would that be long term stable? (I really don't care about 2-3°C worse temps here)
Thx alot!
This is a nice guide, but abit out of date on the radiator side :( And I'm missing the fullcover blocks.. Dunno if there is a reason for it not being updated?
I have a quick question:
would I be better off running compression fittings or barbs in my 8/10mm setup? and why?

What would be the best performing cpu block when used in its own loop?
