just got a CCBWE 0530TPMW today. so far im at 2.8, stabilizing voltage now.
looks like 2.9 will be a no go, went up to 1.55v and it still would not pass 1min pie.
it is a bit warmer than my 144, at 3ghz i would idle at 25c. my 165 idles at 32, might go down a tad as the as settles i suppose.
hmm, these are going for cheap everywhere, the Opteron 165's. I've held out for the longest time on getting one, I've actually ordered a 170 once, then cancelled(they took 3 weeks).
Now, I'm very tempted to get on the dualcore boat finally. It can be had for $165 give or take at numerous places, on top of that it's the boxed retail cpu.
Do you guys think there are any good steppings still shipping from the states(namely zzf, and monarch)?
Been reading Monarch was shipping ccbwe which aren't that great.

I got a 165 CCBWE 0530TPMW last week from mwave. I also got a 170 CCBBE 0615EPMW in the same order. Please advise which one to keep and which one to sell.

the CCBBE 615 EPMW is one of the golden steppings dude!!!!
look at the first page...there is a whole list , in order, of all the good and bad steppings
Off of newegg, I got a CCB1E 0609FPMW and someone on the forums just got CCBBE 0610DPMW.

I just got a CCBWE 0550 UPMW 170 up and running about three hours ago and so far its at 2860 and doing good.
Newegg was out of stock on Opteron 165's for a couple of days, now back in stock. I'm wondering if the new shipment is a different IMC... anyone daring enough to order and find out?
prior to the run out though, I've heard promising notions, ccbbe's and ccb1e's.

for the moment I could bench spi @ 2853 with 1.5V I did 29.203 with my BH 5 :)
I will test more longer tomorrow ;)
