30 capper Northwood cores:
SL6Z5 M0
SL6Z3 M0
SL6WU D1
M0 stepping in SL6Z3 and SL6Z5 processors arent Northwoods, they are "broken" Gallantins with L3 cache disabled.
D1 (AEP) 30 cappers are:
SL78X = 2.6C
SL78Y = 2.8C
SL78Z = 3.0C
SL6WU = 3.0C (not all)
SL6WE = 3.0C (not all)
SL792 = 3.2C
SL793 = 3.4C (all processors)

SL6WK 3.0C, not SL6WE ;)
its a 3ghz SL6WK
Still hard to tell. I've seen people recieve the newer batch than that and still it's only 12 caps.Quote:

12 or 30 caps it still depend on luck. I've seen 12 caps that are doing well and some 30 caps not being oc well at all.
I had play with 4 different 30 capper and all four were clock differently. Two of them would even go over 240fsb stably no matter what vcore. I have here another 12 capper sitting just waiting to get my board and vid card back from being modded. Will see how this one compare to the other four 30 cappers I play with.
Oh, and this 12 cappers I have is with the batch numbers of L348 and your is L351.
One member here have got a L351 30 cappers hitting 4gig on Air "BUT" in Ocforum a few other peeps have got this same fpo/batch numbers with same 30 caps and couldn't even get 250 stable.
So once again luck play a big role when it come to choose a high oc chip.
yup i agree i have a SL6WU 12 capper that will run 3900mhz on air and 3800mhz on the chips defualt v-core. max oc so far using my mach1 is around 4300mhz...
peace perc,
Has anyone had any experience with the SL7BK stepping, these have 30 caps.
Hmm, nope, that's not even in Intel's database.
SL6WK is not a 30 capper, but some people say that the SL6WK is better then the SL6WU 30 capper in overclocking, maybe its just luck. ;)Quote:

thats what I found, I thought it was a mis-label, but it is the same on the boxQuote:

When I got my SL6WU (some months ago), Intel had not listed them, but now they have. If Intel hasn't listed the SL7BK, it means they are pretty new.

I have a SL6WK 30 capper , and have it at 3900mhz on normal Water 1.55v
The SL7BK is either pretty new, or it's just passed out by Intel, like the SL78X and SL78Y.
But just out of curiousity, how well does this CPU clock on default volts ?
~3.4 to 3.5GB with default hs, whilst running prime95 the temps are;
cpu 52c
sys 26c
pwm 54c
I am not impressd by the intel hs, the circular copper core is raised and covers about 60% of the chip. I am waiting for a sp-64 atm before I give it a thorough test. Also I want to add some fans to cool the ram/board.
:confused:Quote:

Not that good, the SL6WK 30 caps do 3.75GHz stock everything, and the SL78Z do even more.Quote:

I have to agree, this is my first intel chip since the celeron 566, that one ran at 952 default voltage, no such luck with this one.Quote:
