A rebadged 1000w Xilence PSU. Yeah I was asking for everything I got, but funds were tight and this psu got the job done for nearly 2 years.
Will be looking at getting an 850 or 1000HX this time round.
Yes it the XSPC RX360
Blend stays around 55c I forgot to check the NB at load, but it idles at 42c and the
5850 stays at 41c in Furmark:eek: that is amazing to me.
What PSU where you using? Odd to have them blow from an overclock.
Opps, just seen your post.
NoGuru, very nice WCing build.looks like andressergios and yours and mine are family.
all gigabyte, all blue and all look great.
Agreed, HX850 (or 1000 if you've got the room). I've heard the 850 can manage up to 1000 anyway so probably a little more bang for your bucks ;)
@NoGuru - nice - the XSPC rads are probably the only worthy competitor to the thermochills from what I've read, and the big fins are great if you're after a quieter setup, plus the price is reasonable. I think my XSPC pump is probably suffering a little now though, so I'm thinking of going for a dual loop reservoir and a single laing pump next. After that I may build on a bit more GFX cooling and mosfets when my USB3P arrives. I think I've fathomed a way to fit it all in and around the case and can probably make room for another 240 rad at least, but it's so heavy already I probably won't be able to lift it with yet more addons & water!
I need help getting my E8500 to 4.275ghz, my EP45-UD3R is using the F12 BIOS
i can run prime95 for about 10 minuets until one core stops, and the highest CPU core temp is 63cCode:MB Intelligent Tweaker(M.I.T.)

in the BIOS for Extreme Memory Profile i have Auto, profile2, and disable. No profile1 unless disable is profile1
*10 minutes later*
Those BIOS settings give the the blue screen after windows starts to load
*10 minutes later*
i changed the MCH ref to .760 and i booted into windows and im running prime95 now
well pime95 failed after a few minutes so i started to try other settings, after getting blue screen after blue screen i just went back to my 9.5x422 4Ghz settings.
did u use my settings mate ?
remember that you have to set .785 CPU REF and .80 MCH and put VTT 1.2 then up just VTT to the value you want letting other change alone
you have to try skews
800/800/0/50
900/900/0/50
800/900/50/100
seek wich fits best for ya
MCH on 1,4 if you are pushing
vdimm a bit overvolted
and NO extreme , just use STANDARD to try then you have time to put TURBO
try CUSTOM BLEND 8k to 8k at first if it passes that
go blend all. if fails...notch vcore
Cheers hope it helps
Fan controller is installed.:D

this is very frustrating o/c in hot summer days is a pita. Just got a new USB3P and man the idle temp for my q6600 is 58-60'C. Even with a/c on is like 53-55'C. Seeing how you guys clock above 3.8ghz is crazy.
Thanks, Im not good at keeping track of old settings but this should be pretty close for the 5.0 spi 1m and 4.95 wprime 1024 water runs.

A lot better but still a little high for those volts. Is your CPU/cooler surface flat? If you remove the block, is the paste unevenly spread?
I wonder if ambient at 85 to 86'F is the culprit. Hot nights in Puerto Rico is killer, now with a/c at max got it down to 38'C idle.
Quick Question - I've been running my E8400 at 4.0GHz at 1.2vcore on my P45-UD3P since I received the components, and I've never updated the BIOS on my motherboard. It's still running the F4 BIOS! Are there any advantaged to update to the latest BIOS? I've never messed around with updating BIOS's before, that's why I'm asking.
Thanks NoGuru, that's what I figured, just wasn't certain on the issue. Cheers
nice system u have there
a friend of mine will come from the states in about two weeks ... I have Cooler Master HAF922 and wanna make a water cooling loop for the cpu only
can u make a list off the components used in your water cooling gear with links? the same request for andresergio
please provide some links from where and what to get
for andressergio: how is named that distancier between the radiator and the case and the support that holds the reservoir that clears the bubless from the loop? where can my friend order them from? (he is in the states now)

well I finally got around to playing with this X3380 some more and it isn't as bad as I thought, well it loves volts but it is a freakishly cool running chip.
http://i45.tinypic.com/2gwt6j5.png
that was on air with a lapped TRUE w/ two San Ace fans in push pull. I can't wait to get my socket 775 backplate for my Apogee XT:)
Seeing some nice clocks with the USB3P - mine's not far away apparently so I'll be joining you soon. Just one thing - I'm assuming as it's P45 the ram straps are just same and you just use higher rated dividers (e.g 2.66c e.t.c)?
lo guys
i just got this on the mail yesterday (thanks T )
http://img198.imageshack.us/img198/2739/p10405941.jpg
needed some MCH to do rated 1600 6-9-6-24 but stock vdimm
1600 6-9-6-24 @ 1,65 stock vdimm
http://img35.imageshack.us/img35/976...cr2hyper32.jpg
and as im new on DDR3 and im on a P45 chipset, this mem are for P55+ i though that for 2000 9-9-9-24 1T will need more volts...i was very wrong i needed LESS MCH and vdimm to pass wich is the first time i see this
2000 9-9-9-24 1T @ 1,62 vdimm

Cheers mate, good to hear all the dividers work ok, lots of flexibility is nice! Can performance levels go any lower or is it FSB that determines that more than divider?
Cute kid btw :D
Umm, I getting jealous of all the USB3P going around! Grats on the new board In-Fluance.
Love your new Ram Serg!
Hey influence !
Cheers mate, good to hear all the dividers work ok, lots of flexibility is nice!
***Yes they work all need diff settings but its supposed to be like that, im happy now that i found that i dont need higher volts to make it go on 2000 1T...will reduce latency will try 2000 8-9-8-24 and 2000 7-8-9-24 and see what i can do, kit arrived yesteday and thats are my firsts test
Can performance levels go any lower or is it FSB that determines that more than divider?
***I think that PL8 with the quad at 4500 and 2000 its some limit but i need more ppl to test that so join the USB3P club :)
Cute kid btw :D
***Thanks my we are really proud of Valentino its 2,5 month now but looks like 4 lol
Cheers
Sergio
Those are some very nice clocks on your new board Sergio, and cute kid as well!
Nice going Serg...for both the clocks and the kid !!!
damn Sergio getting us all jealous with that new board and ram here... looks likea lot more fun for my q9650 soon :)
that memory is very nice andres, I am very glad to see DDR3 2000 on a P45 mobo, and whats crazy is it took less MCH voltage to run at higher speed with looser timings.
Thanks buddy  hopping more ppl can join and help its a very nice mobo, yesterday it was the first time i got a reboot loop that coudlnt recover lol i tried to boot them at XPS profile lmao  2000 CL6 had to put CMOS jumper jaaaaa but this is the first time after many OC's and 2 sets of RAM
Cheers
Sergio
I see you've got GRID on your desktop Andre' I'm having lots of fun with that in full 1080p at the moment - my 5770 plays it very nicely on full settings. Very nice work with the memory too, let's see those timings tightened! :D
Thanks mate
Well i dont have good news pc bsod today and it was stable yesterday...its getting kinda random at 2000 mem 1T...and for the low volts i dunno its weird maybe i need to tweak some references skews or some volts...
Any help will be appreciated, it would be nice seeing other ppl trying
Cheers
Sergio
well about that. . . I just sold my X3380 and my EP45T USB3P. I know its crazy but I think I am going to take a break from 775 for a while and then try to find a nice VID X3380. I am glad that the chip went on to somebody who is going to (ab)use it. . .
enjoy it steve:up:
I am going to focus on my X5660 and my golden W3540 with a new X58A UD7 that I have coming.
Andressergio I can tell you for sure that the USB3P does not seem to clock memory high and have the ability to maintain stability as well as the UD3P.
i dont agree with you in that mate not at all, you had a normal vid X3380 experience but look at mine on the USB3P with mem that are 1600 CL7 2x2 ECO Gskills, this was done at 23C ambient closed room.
http://img204.imageshack.us/img204/7...9turb0linx.png
problem is with 2000 1T wich is what im investiganting, can be a bios issue i PM stasio, remeber the UD3P rev 1.0 has 10 stable BIOS...this one just 1 and 1 on beta...
USB3P rev 1.0 i can say that is stable as the UD3P rev 1.0 and with less issues like the reboots loops as on the UD3P, i just takes more time with DDR3
Luck on your new toys
Sergio
andressergio, hope you get it figured out,as i cant wait to see you
run them at their rated specs of ddr3-2000 pc16000 6-9-6-24.but it does
look like they are rated at 2t for those speeds according to newegg?
is this correct?
When I am saying higher memory speeds i am talking about DDR3 2000 + speeds. And don't worry I am going to find a low VID X3380, its on my list of things to hunt down. As for your overclock, its simply stunning, 1.376 actual volts for IBT stable is incredible, I needed 1.44 actual for 4.4 on air last night, but it was still very cool.
I will find a low VID X3380:mad:
It will be interesting to see how that chip likes:surf: -40c and lots of :explode2:Vcore....
:scope::bravo:mahaahahahmaha:hammer::shock2: :explode:
yes i know the pain i just go for safe now and not random to get batches i can afford getting a bad chip i live in South America so i got only 1 shot
i know you will mate  wasnt a shot for you is to demostrate that this mobo still rocks
now look at this i just did for you to see
4500 Mhz / 1600 6-9-6-24 room temp 23,5C
http://img31.imageshack.us/img31/945...cr2linxpas.png
Cheers
Sergio
hey radaja how are you mate ;)
dunno i just put 2 in BIOS and comes out 1  so i think some bios is messing around i talked to stasio let's see
for now i changed skews 900/900/0/50 and trfc = 100 and booted 2000 8-9-8-24 PL8 givin a bit of MCH and same vdimm runt a loop of linx and failed so almost there
i will find out or die :ROTF:
yea, i will be hitting it with my SS so we'll see what she's got..
I have a very sweet ud3p that lovess quads, so it should be fun to
put that x3360 thru the torture test, i got to fune tune the board for some
of the non brute force benchies....
here is what just i did with the x3360...
and it still had more, i only pushed it a little...
I need to get better fine tuning my ram and system,,,,
#1 Xeon X3360 in CPU-Z with 4717.47 mhz
#1 Xeon X3360 in SuperPi with 10sec 327ms
#1 Xeon X3360 in wPrime 32m with 8sec 676ms
#1 Xeon X3360 in PiFast with 21.08 sec
#3 Xeon X3360 in wPrime 1024m with 4min 40sec 551ms

Sergio
well i know running my set at 2000 6-9-6-24 on the x58 and P55 takes a lot
of Qpi/Vtt voltage(1.40v) with vdimm of 1.66v in bios.so im not sure how much vMCH
it will take to do it on the P45.i mean thats a lot of stress on the NB to run such high
speeds and low cas.you will have to probably go from pl8 to pl 9 or 10 i would think
booted but on CL7 but still not stable and yes needs VTT and MCH for now im tightening CL6 1600
this i get now still stable
1600 6-8-8-6-24 / trfc 70 @ 1.65

Sergio
Yes mate all my tests are on PL8 even 2000 ones but look, at 2000 8-9-8-24 i get 11k / 10.6 / 10.6 / 48 latency so if i fo less timmings and more PL it think i will quit using 2000 and going tighten on 1600 CL6 as you can see in my last pic i like that speed and easier to get stable...the ECOS couldnt hold that stable so still a nice upgrade.
Cheers :toast:
Sergio
Sergio...I know you want to stay at 9x500 but I would love to see if you can get 8.5x525 with mem @ 1680 / PL8 / 7-6-6-16 (or 20) / tRFC 60. You Everest scores should go through the roof. I got this at 8x525 with above mem settings, but couldn't get it stable on the UD3LR...
http://img378.imageshack.us/img378/8...hemem8x525.png
Right now my 24/7 is running 8x500 with my mem @ 1600 / PL8 / 7-6-6-16 / tRFC 60...

So image what your 8.5x525 could do :D
some more results tweaking pumping jumping :ROTF: not benching as i dont have XP anymore just want to be stable
2000 9-9-8-24 1T PL8 subs tweaked @ 1,73 yes giga needs volts :D makes me remember my old PI1200 :D

Nice work Sergio! I just ram Superpi 32 in XP at 4.5 GHz and 5-5-15 DDR2 @500 and got 11.10.541
So nice work.
very nice andres, that is a solid oc on the cpu and the memory oc is awesome, it is nice to see such high speed and 1T:up:
thanks mate
i was not passing memtest failed at 44% so i upped MCH to DRAM ref to .80 then passed.. went to game and BC2 made it reboot so i nothed vcore to 1.392 load and shoot blend and now im playing no issues will keep testing seems that this is hard for this mobo at this CPU speed but can do it
maybe with hypers is better dunno for now im pretty happy volts are kinda high but normal on giga, i had the same with the PIS 1200
Cheers :toast:
Sergio
andressergio, those are some great results there:thumb:
Well i did it guys :up::up:
this is my first full stable 4500 / 2000 1T setup :D

muy bueno Sergio, now i got the itch to get a xeon like you. This board sure got the potential.
Nice work Andre', and nice gflops too - still waiting on my USB3P to turn up...NNNGGGGHHH!!
Fantastic work Serg! Very inspiring.
After all those test passed gaming on BC2 or DIRT2 i get BSOD...so or its too much for P45 or need some more tweaking or maybe a better bios to support this fast mem
So i settled at 1600 6-9-6-24 for now
Cheers !
Sergio
That's still pretty good going, I always suspect things like PCI-E related bios options like PCI-E frequency and SB volts if I get BSOD in games, then again 6-6-6 at those speeds is a lot to expect for a p45 to handle, but it is a marvellous northbridge which continues to impress!
The bios are also still quite early maybe we can hope they make some improvements. I wonder how bandwidth on this board compares to other EP45T boards running at the same speeds - might be worth comparing and even swapping bios memory tables for better performance / higher clocks...
Still no parcel yet :(
damn sorry to hear mate
well for 1600 6-8-6-18 and tight timmings that is what i am i need 1,52 MCH for a solid OC, pases linx, game whatever
i also passed linx at 2000 1T on 1,52MCH but games will crash so...i will settle on this
i also saw other ppl on the EP45T UD3P that need 1.5+ and also on the EP45T USB3P
http://img443.imageshack.us/img443/1...cr2tweaked.jpg
Cheers mate best of lucks to get the mobo
Sergio
Guys
Each day im loving this mobo more and more, never thought that PL7 would be so easy...i decided to try today and look :D

Just runing it on my 24/7 very happy !
Im starting to think they toned that board down some vs the older T boards.
1600 C6 PL8 daily timings
http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...s281/tight.png
1600 C6 PL7 same timings
http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...1/1600c6p7.png
Meaning like the way there setting up the bios for these newer boards, for one reason or other, having reduced bandwidth vs the older boards. The same as what they did with the bios for the ud3p, after f10b the reads were reduced and with higher latency.
its true about f10b but really i dont think its that your mem can do better than my PIS yours are hypers and mine not, gskill is kinda tough on bining, and costed me 100 $ less
this is also a nice setting i have but i cant do 6-6-4-18 PL7

http://img62.imageshack.us/img62/956...cr1pl7cust.jpg

Sergio
The difference between my timings and yours should be pretty minimal, guessing less than 100mb, so I really dont think its the memory itself causing the difference. Heres an older one done at looser timings and really not much difference. The trfc on the first run I posted was at 52.
http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...ss281/band.jpg
These are the sub timings on the first runs posted.
http://i131.photobucket.com/albums/p...ss281/subs.png
yes Hoss can be what you say remember this mobo is on second beta bios F2D i asked stasio to keep updating
i dont agree as 6-6-6-18 and that timmings will give me kinda same speeds, but my mem cant do it
Either way very happy never tought that PL7 can be done
Thanks for your input Hoss
Hello guys; I used to hang around in this thread, but I've been away for a while.
Question is: I'm using F9a bios version. My computer is still running great, but I wanna know if im missing anything running this old bios. Ie... Did they ever get sleep to work correctly? I'm running 24/7 @4.0Ghz. Any super good bios upgrades? Something that I cant live without?
Thanks guys
