Sure but not when we bought ours or about the same time last year;) I don't believe in comparing money spent during different time periods. The problem is that I didn't need to spend what he did, or spend extra for water cooling to get better *CPU performance. Bartons (130nm) reached 2.5ghz on air at most, Clawhammers (130nm) did about the same, San Diegos (90nm) did better, 2.8-3.0ghz on air. The X2s (Toledos/Manchesters) did worse initially but now even the Opteron 165s are hitting 3.1ghz on air. From what I can see, AMD has breached the "3ghz on air" border (but with it have come some super coldbugs).
But yeah, still sucks :shrug:

It doesn't matter what it was targeted for or when. The simple FACT is that it shipped AFTER the 64bit Mobile C2D=P Many of the notebooks are in the same price range as MC2D, not the MC1D. Nowhere on AMD's site are these tested called a Budget or etc.... processor.Quote:

There has been no Barcelona launch. AMD has announced that it will begin shipping K10 cpus in August with expected system availability in early September. That is all AMD has said so far. My guess is the launch will be sometime in late AugustQuote:
