finally back in the thread. I moved and had no internet in my flat now for nearly 2 months (sux ass).
Well in the winter i threw my Watercooling outside on the roof and used car fluid as cooler so i had temps around 2 degrees celsius on my system (it's friggin awesome even now my water temp is always under 20 degrees and my components reach 35 max that means a GTX 280 and a 0C q 9550 and wc RAM). During that i was able to do some nice benches with everest around FSB 510 and RAm @ 630 MHz with different settings and i reached nice 45,1 ns which kicks at that FSB imo.
My Core Temps are alwys frozen and start to react at around 35. But the Core Temps are much closer to the shown CPU temp so they should've been around 22 i think.
Used RAm: Cellshock D9GKX PC 8000 4-4-4-12

it's mine ram, unfortunately I can't reach 700MHz because "low" vdram of my mobo [2,55v]
Whoa, those are some crazy RAM sinks. Very nice!
got a new Xeon E3110 so im going to be going for some high fsb action with my new set of teams pc10400's.will post some results later.this cpu has a nice low vid.

@radaja: very nice xeon. go for 1400+mhz on those tg ;)
@user111: ciao caro. if those ram are really good, 2.55v are enough to catch 1400mhz ;)
can someone tell me what chips these have and what a fair price to ask for them would be?
thanks

Finally had some time this morning and got my CPU to 4.8GHz for a quick run of Everest memory benchmark. Broke 10k with 480MHz FSB @ PL=7 and 576MHz CL4 on the memory.
Memory voltage was set to 2.66V, the memory is one of my Crucial 10th Anniversary Edition kits.

Really good results there Mafio, PL 7 at 500 MHz FSB is awesome!
Do you have an Everest benchmark result of it?
A bit OT, but why are you still using such old versions of Everest and MemSet?
MemSet 4.0 and Everest 5.01 are available and will recognize your board and memory correctly! Check it out! :)

the bandwidth is about the same...
if i remember correctly dfi do 0.05ns better than my gigabyte
but my gigabyte can do over 600mhz of fsb on air, my dfi p45 UT boot @ 530/540...
for 530/540 of fsb p35 is good, a p45 if isn't capable of 600+ mhz of fsb is totally useless ;)
UT P45@600FSB has been done:
http://forums.vr-zone.com/overclocki...-p45-t2rs.html
http://www.foxtech.co.kr/bbs/board.p...review&wr_id=5
A poster here has even done it: http://67.90.82.13/forums/showpost.p...1&postcount=32
600+ (maybe 610) on dfi ut p35 :p (read in sign ;))
gigabyte p45 are good not only with quad, but also with dual...i made 660mhz with e8400 @ air (temp amb 20°)
yep, they quite sucks @ memory bandwidth, but all board suck compared to dfi ;)
Not the best spot for this I know...
Looking for some proven D9's as backups to my Firestix in the US for a reasonable price :)
Would like some Teams or CellShocks but just need a backup set (or a primary set if they can out clock my Firestix ;))
i'm waiting your dfi p45 UT at 657mhz of fsb with multiplier 7x
http://valid.canardpc.com/show_oc.php?id=556373
i'm at air ;)
zsamz_, everytime someone posts a result made with a Gigabyte board you say how much slower it is than a DFI. Don't get me wrong, I like DFI for pushing memory speed and timings and the BIOS work they have delivered for years is awesome.
But now I own a Gigabyte board, and I would like to see how big the DFI advantage is in reality at the same clocks. So maybe we can agree on some clocks just like Vince's low-clock challenge and you will run the Everest benchmarks and Mafio and I will be happy to try and match your results! :)
Deal?
i agree with dan ;)
anyway dfi superior speed @ same settings is evident. but, dfi p45 series is not so good as gigabyte, expecially in fsb clocking. also in clocking ram gigabyte has improved a lot. and man, dfi ut p35 il really >>> than ut p45 ;)
i done that
compared gigabut x38 and p35 with all my saved runs
the dfi utx38 beat em both clock for clock and doesnt kill harware lol
and the dfi ut p35 beat the dfi ut-x38
i boxin my ut-p35 this week cause i gonna crossfire 2 4870s
yes the gigabut has ram clockin wr but i wanna see everest bandwidth lol
simone you 1000% wrong
utp35=utp45
do u know dfi got fsb wr
Oh, come on, don't kill the fun before we even began...
The question still remains, by how far, is it really 500-800MB/s?! :D
That would also be a good reason to get yourself a UT-P45! ;)
So, please, before you box your board, let's make some runs so we can compare performance. I think we can already agree on dual core and 2gig of D9 memory and P35/P45.
dfi p45 DK has done fsb wr...not crappy UT ;)
i have dfi p35 UT and dfi p45 UT and they are 2 different board...the first probably is the best p35, the second is one of the worst p45...
this is the truth...all other words are bull:banana::banana::banana::banana: ;)
try some decent gigabyte board like ep45-ud3r/p can help you to change your opinion...
hey man, read carefully validate screen ;)Quote:
simone you 1000% wrong
utp35=utp45
do u know dfi got fsb wr
as mafio says, dfi dk p45 made fsb wr
and anyway, ut p35 is much better than the p45 version. less problem, more clocking. with ut p45 people managed to reach (with much difficulties) 600fsb only a few time ago ;)
i stop here cause this is not the proper place to discuss about this. and i'm sorry if you have had problem with gigabyte board, but this doesn't mean dfi are the best ;)
i almost bought the utp45 last week was on sale 45$ off:mad:
i cant justify spendin 200$ unless i burned my utp35 i did try
i might burn my x38 its not as tough as my p35:rofl:
take my word for it its 500-800MB/S its even faster in spi
benchin is fun but doin 11k 24/7 is the best
yup, you got it ;)Quote:
benchin is fun but doin 11k 24/7 is the best
I can't and will not believe that a DFI is faster than a Gigabyte board by such a huge margin if both systems are overclocked and tweaked. At stock speed this might be true, as this is seen very often, that manufacturers use slow timings or straps at stock speed to offer bigger overclocks for beginners, but if the system is not running at stock, it changes.
zsamz_ is offline and I will have to go now too.
@ zsamz_: Do you agree to make some runs for a comparison? Then I would create a new thread later, cause that doesn't belong here.
i'd like to take part in the comparison too, if possible ;)
to me its a waste of time
btw margin is small in real world apps
to me dfi is faster and more reliable
utp35=utp45>utx48>x48dq6>gigabut p35>gigabut p45
only reason someone should have a gigabut p45 is for a quad thats about it
lets get back to topic
gigabut suks that only thing i can agree on
hey mafio, wtf...be quiet ;)
he thinks gigabyte sucks, but maybe he just never tried gigabyte p45 extreme / ud3r / ud3p. these are almost like and even better than gigabyte p35 ds4 and ds3r, the best p35 by this brand ;)
about x48 i think that if it's not a rampage, then it sucks :D
Okay, now I think we should really get back to topic, but I'm very disappointed zsamz_, please stop complaining about Gigabyte boards if you never tested one for a longer time and don't say performance difference is so huge if you don't want to make a fair comparison!
If bandwidth "suks so bad" on a Gigabyte board, I guess it's the user's fault... ;)
I gotta say I love my UD3P and I never had problems with it! :yepp:
This is my first "back-to-topic" post, guys! ;)
I hope the rest of you does the same and shows some results.
Long time no see in this thread CryptiK... :(
I remembered this post made by you some time ago, and now that I had some time to test and tweak my RAM, I just tried what I could get.
Used my usual test system, E8600, UD3P and my beloved Crucial 10th Anniversary Edition.
This screen is dedicated to you:
http://img104.imageshack.us/img104/6...7cru10than.jpg
Most voltages and settings can be found in the screenshot, this was the closest I could get to 500MHz FSB, cause I was testing in 5 MHz steps. 500MHz was semistable, saw it on CPU-Z, but it froze when I ran Everest.
500MHz FSB + 666MHz RAM should be doable with a bit more tweaking, but not now... I'm too tired... :D
Nice. Awesome OC on that E6600 man.
Can you run a lower Vdimm for 1200mhz @ 5-5-5-12 or 5-5-5-15 etc.? :)
zsam, you have some HyperX D9GKX also, what sort of Voltages or Speeds are you (able to) run? :D
That's not a bad OC there on that UD3P & E8600 Dan..
Something from me

Will try to break 11k tonight with some settings I want to try!
Again a nice result from someone using Cellshock memory! Nice!
Maybe you can post an Everest bench next time!
I'm getting my first Cellshock kit ( 1066 CL5 ) soon, eagerly awaiting what they can do.
I have it there but i don´t know why it´s dont been there now :-(
I upload it again

I think I must be the most unlucky E7200 owner on the planet. Mine won't do over 3.6GHz and it takes 1.45v to get it there  as if to really give me a slow hard kick in the balls I can't get this CPU proper stable above 426FSB either. I know its not the board as its the same problem on 4 other boards I've put the CPU in.
Thnx for the info. I guess for you that somewhat high voltage is ok as long as the ram still works, right. :yepp:
Lol, I cherish this Kingston GKX I have so I don't exactly ever want to burn it up.
oooo, good to know. I just run 1.9V 24/7 but haven't taken my GKX past 1100mhz yet..
I suppose I should actually (try to) do a lower Vdimm like 1.84-1.88V (@ least for 5-5-5-15 1066).
Oh, yes they sure are. That's to both sentences there. :D
Have fun and Good luck.
hey guys, sorry if this isn't allowed, but I have some Crucial 2 x 1GB PC2-8000 Ballistix Tracer BL12864AL1005.16FD3 Micron D9GMH for sale $50
http://www.xtremesystems.org/forums/...d.php?t=222621
Thanks, I'm sure I will have fun when I finally got the time to do it, my new job is eating up my free time...
BUT I got my Cellshock kit :)
Selling and trading isn't allowed in normal threads as far as I know, please keep it to PM and dedicated threads.
Here are my results with Team Xtreem PC2-9600
I managed to get it Pi32M stable at 1333MHz C5/PL8
http://images3.hiboox.com/images/200...d267f56be5.bmp
:D
As I said, I got my Cellshock kit and tried what I could get on PL8.
The results I made are a bit frustrating, to say the least, not very happy with my kit. I was also testing the latest BIOS but I tried everything to get them higher. The system would bluescreen at 520MHz FSB and 624MHz RAM already...
http://img33.imageshack.us/img33/450...8cellshock.jpg
Any suggestions or something I overlooked that could hold me back?
It cost my >3 hours to do this already, so I pulled them out again, will try to do a good result on PL8 with another kit.
For now I will test something new, that a lot of you guys will like. Watch out for a new thread! :)
well it's been awhile since i posted here.so i got a great new cpu and another kit of cellshock pc8000's

I have the oportunity to buy Mushkin Redline 2Gb (2x1Gb) DDR2-1000 (996525) (4-5-4-11) with D9GMH.
I wanna know if they are modules capable of 1200-1300MHZ with good voltages for dailly use? I have a pair of thermalright hr-07 memory heatspreaders that I could use on them in case they get hot :)
Who else has Red CellShock like me?
kagula323,i bought the same kit but one module was bad.but i put the good one in with my cellshock pc8000's for 3GB and they all did 1200 easy
so i would guess you shouldnt have a problem doing 1200 24/7
waterflex, your the only person i know of that has this kit.are you sure they didnt just make one kit:D
I think he painted them :P
Edit: 10x radaja ... hope I'll buy them :)
radaja, dunno... but i love my red sexy shocks, i want more 2GB. :(
i remember when i first got my cellshock pc8000's and i saw yours and you posted some results
then i looked and looked but nothing, and then someone said they could be found easy in germany so i looked and no luck.
i wanted them so bad and your right the heatspreaders are a big factor in my wanting them.they are awesome looking:D
WaterFlex, you are the only one I know who has those sticks, even in Germany they are rare, and I'm watching ebay very carefully...
I`m looking for the red Shocks of 25/07 manufacturing date. All sticks manufuctered later are bad.
